part of what i found relatable about hermione in the books was her messy hair and bad teeth and the movies disappointed me so muchhhh

exactlyyyy same. it was one of the reasons i latched onto her so much when i was little (also it always annoys me so much when movies take a character who is EXPLICITLY described as not that attractive and then are like "let's cast this flawlessly attractive person to play them yes good plan" it's just ugh no. it feels like they're betraying the character)
