if you're still accepting head canons, what was carmen and dom's first time like? i am LOVING resurrection ;)

* When Carmen was assigned to the unit, Dom tried to play it cool. He purposely treated her more like a little sister than anyone he was interested in. It backfired in ways he couldn’t have predicted, namely her sleeping with the rest of the unit (except Max, patron saint of celibacy that he is) first. 

* Then there was the whole issue of him technically being her C.O., even though their unit isn’t anywhere near conventional. Old habits die hard and all that.

* When they do finally get together it’s, unsurprisingly, after a night of drinking with the team. On one of those nights where the party ended too early for their liking, they go back to her room. 

* Cards Against Humanity turns into Truth or Dare, and as the night turns balmy, so do the questions.

* Before they know it, they’re taking off their clothes, smirking as each dare gets saucier than the one before it. 

* It’s too late for second-thoughts by the time they hit the bunk, Dom barely fitting on his own, let alone with Carmen. They settle on the floor instead, grateful for the one spot in the room that’s cold. 

* The sex is better than Carmen ever expected, and though she has little time to think about it, there’s a certain tinge of tenderness to Dom’s actions that make it feel like more than just meaningless sex. 

* When they’re done, they lay face to face, fingers entwined, both covered in a sheen of sweat. 

* “I didn’t think you liked me like that,” Carmen grinned.

* “Shut up,” Dom smirked back, kissing her to drown out any doubts of exactly how he felt about her.

Sorry this didn’t go up with the end of the round.  I had it in drafts and forgot to finish it!  I hope you all enjoyed the Ramirez round.  I certainly did.  Look below the cut for a few background details and my thoughts on what happened.  

The Ramirezes are generally an easy family to play, especially after the chaos of the Tinker house. We only managed two of the three challenges this time, though, because I failed to throw a roof raising party for Tessa. (Whoops!) On the bright side, Checo did meet the extra challenge of getting fit again, and we did have baby Carmen, so I think that makes up for it. 

 I love how Tessa grew up, and I love her homework face. She really is a gorgeous sim. I’m already matchmaking Tess and Justin Kim. He is going to grow up when I get to his family this round, and I think the two of them would be good together. They both love their dogs. I can see them with a dog training business maybe. We’ll see what happens with attractions and aspirations and such, I guess. 

I really don’t know why Checo couldn’t earn a gold fishing badge. I tried to look up how long it takes (or how many fish, or whatever requirements there might be) but couldn’t find any info. It could be a mod conflict, or some other game glitch. I’m not terribly worried. I just kind of wish I had used all the time he spent fishing to do something else. Ah well. At least I have 47 pictures of him fishing in various locations. 

I feel like there’s always just a little story tucked into the Ramirez round. I liked writing the conversation between Checo and Lisa about her pregnancy. I want to do more with their friendship with the Tinkers next time around. Maybe a double date? Tessa could babysit. 🙂 

I’m eager to see baby Carmen grow up. I think she is going to be lovely, just like her sister. I’m also excited to see how Tessa really does as a big sister. 

 The Ramirezes are just a fun family to play. I love them a lot. Hopefully we will see them around town a lot for the rest of the round. In the meantime, the Larsons are up next, and I’m planning on adding something to their mini-challenge to make them a bit more...exciting. I haven’t started playing them yet, but I’ll let you know when I have posts queued up again.  In the meantime, thanks again for reading and for all the likes and comments.  See you soon!
