Tobias had contemplated leaving, just going back to his dormitory and shutting the door to keep himself from doing something so stupid. He wasn’t entirely sure why he was here either, waiting like some smitten school boy who had a guitar ready to play some half-ass written love song for a girl. He certainly would never be caught dead in his life doing that. So the big mystery here was why he stood, hands stuffed in his pocket in the sharp cold trying to bump into Carmen. The past few times they ran into each other had been nothing but terrible, yet Tobias couldn’t deny the need he felt to see her, talk to her. Time passing by extra slowly from the agony of waiting in this horrid weather, Tobias was just about to give up when he saw a sleek black convertible pull up to the house. Of course, of course, none other than Carmen was in that very convertible (one that he recognized well from around campus), and that sight was enough to make Tobias a little fired up. “Hey,” he called out sternly as he made his way towards the door to intercept the girl. “Funny seeing you here coming out of that car. I was just going to come over, see if you were in your house but of course, you’re not and I figure hey -- she’s probably just out, I don’t know, buying groceries, went to study.. and I’ll stick around and wait. The one damn time I try to come talk to you it bites me in the ass cause you’re coming out of that fucking car,”.
