"I'm sorry, Eva." Sage said, her hands clasped nervously. The three were in the kitchen, talking as Marie made dinner. "But there was just a knock at the door. Someone's here, and we have to go answer."

"Well, I can't go out." Marie said over the boiling saucepan of pasta. "I've got to watch this."

"And you can't force me to go out." Eva said, folding her wings in with a huff. "I'm not good with that kind of thing. Sage, it's you."

Sage sighed. "Fine, fine." The blonde girl walked out of the kitchen and through the mansion, finally arriving at the front door. She opened the massive door and smiled at the guest. "I'm s-sorry about the wait. We weren't expecting anyone. W-Won't you come in?"

Can't sleep

Alden was laying in bed and turning around every two minute. He had spoken with Lex the day before yesterday, but after that she hadn't replied on his texts or the few calls he had tried to make.

He knew she could take care of herself, but she would always reply back at least the same day. Had something happen to her? No, don't think like that it's only gonna make it worse. Hopefully there was a reasonable explanation for her disappearing.
