REQUEST RULES
- I reserve the right to delete/not accept asks. I do this for fun so if a request is something I don’t think I can write, or something that violates my rules I will respect my boundary and not write it! This is not me being mean, this is me protecting my energy and mental health :)
- no private message requests! Requests are only accepted through the ask box or through my google forms link (in bio)
- No imagines for the actors unless its platonic! (Non-romantic aka Friendships or siblings)
- the fandoms/characters I write for are listed on my masterlist!
- I only do “x reader” fics, please no character ships!
- I normally do not do smut on this blog, however if the character is old enough and I feel confident enough I might accept requests so long as they are respectful!
- please respect these simple rules when requesting!
•————— ♬ —————•
etc.
- Most of my fics will be female reader, but gender neutral or male reader can be done by request! I am a cis pansexual female and would never want to misrepresent another group of people, so I will turn down a request if I feel I cannot do it justice
- I absolutely love platonic fics! But obviously romantic fics are the ones normally sought after.
- Don’t feel shy to get specific for requests, but keep in mind that when you give an author freedom for a request it keeps them from feeling pressured. I love open ending requests I can play around with and explore concepts!
Prompt/summary: (MMPR Season 2 episode 29, Goldar’s Vice Versa) Reader is the team's stand-in medic and is trying to ask Adam to the Vice-Versa dance. Lord Zedd has other plans.
Word Count: 2,276
Warnings: none
“It’s about time the girls had to ask the guys to the dance,” Rocky said leading the boys to a table at Earnie’s juice bar.
“Who are you going with?” Billy asked.
Rocky smiled and leaned back in his chair, “Jessica Peterson, I can’t believe she asked me. What about you Adam?”
Adam sighed, “I don’t think I’m going…”
“Why not?” His friends asked.
“No one’s asked me yet, and I don’t think anyone’s going to,” the boy said.
“Don’t feel bad Adam, no one’s invited me yet either,” Billy said.
Adam gave a sad smile, feeling a little bit better that he wasn’t alone in his struggle. But just as Billy said that, Laura Scottsman approached the boys table asking to speak to Billy alone. Adam leaned his head into his hand watching the blue ranger walk off only to return with a smile on his face, “Hey guys, Laura just asked me to the dance!”
“Atta boy!” Rocky said high-fiving Billy.
“Looks like I’m the only one without a date, even Bulk and Skull are going if those weird girls ever catch them,” Adam sighed.
“Don’t worry Adam, someone will ask you,” Rocky tried to console his friend.
“I gotta get going, later guys,” Adam said standing up and walking off.
His friends shared a sigh. (Y/n) watched Adam leave and hurriedly approached the two boys remaining at the table.
“Hey guys,” (Y/n) said, the boys looked up and smiled, “Where’d Adam go?”
“I’m not sure, he’s been bummed out that no one’s asked him to the dance,” Rocky said.
Billy smirked at the youngest member of the team, “Why haven’t you asked him yet (Y/n)? Everyone knows you want to.”
“Oh I hope not everyone,” (Y/n) sighed while pulling out a chair to sit down.
“Everyone on the team at least, I think Aisha has made it her mission to try and set you two up,” Rocky chuckled.
(Y/n) blushed, “I was actually gonna ask you guys to help me think of an idea to ask him to be my date…”
The two boys smiled before Rocky said, “You don’t need anything fancy (Y/n), just ask him outright and he’ll say yes.”
“You don’t know that!”
“Yes we do! He’s had a crush on you since you started helping Alpha out in the power chamber,” Billy said.
“Last time I patched him up after a fight he wouldn’t even look at me, or talk to me.”
“Adam’s just a shy guy, you’ll figure it out (Y/n),” Rocky said.
“I sure hope so, anyways I’m gonna go find Aisha. She might be able to help.”
(Y/n) stood up with a sigh and went to track down the yellow ranger.
_______________________________
Kim, Adam, and Aisha sat at Earnie’s the next afternoon. Aisha had spent all of their first period trying to convince (Y/n) to shoot her shot with the handsome black ranger. Eventually Aisha resorted to telling Adam Sarah Diaz might ask him if he shows up to Volleyball practice, all while (Y/n) stood next to her and listened. It broke (Y/n)’s heart at how hopeful Adam looked after Aisha told him, and (Y/n) decided that it was gonna be that day she asked him.
So here they sat at the juice bar. Aisha kept her eye on the door waiting for their team medic to show up with the poster they had made.
“Lord Zedd has the worst timing ever,” Kim groaned.
“Tell me about it. It’s too late now, Sarah’s probably gonna ask someone else,” Adam said.
“Oh Adam don’t give up, I heard from a little birdie that there’s someone else planning on asking you,” Aisha smiled.
“You mean (Y/n)? They better do it soon before Sarah gets to him first,” Kim laughed.
Adam blushed at the mention of their friend, they were the first person Adam wanted to ask him but after he saw them with Aisha yesterday he wasn’t sure at all if they were even interested.
“You guys I gotta go, catch you later,” Kim said, grabbing her bag. The other two rangers waved as she walked out.
Cheers were heard from the main floor of the gym, grabbing both the rangers attention, “Hey what’s going on over there?”
“Let’s check it out,” Adam said.
They both stood up and walked over to see a girl practicing karate. Adam watched in awe. Her black hair shone under the lights of the gym, and her suit was crisp and clean. Her kicks were swift and graceful, she finished her routine and the crowd clapped for her. She grabbed a bag off the floor and walked up the steps towards the teens.
“Hey,” the girl said, “do you mind if I join you? I’m new in school and I don’t know many people yet.”
“Sure, I’m Adam and this is Aisha,” Adam smiled.
Aisha held out her hand for the girl to shake but she shoved her bag into her and grabbed Adam’s instead causing Aisha to scoff.
“I’m Sabrina, it’s nice to meet you Adam,” she smiled, “I heard you’re one of the best martial artists at Angel Grove High, maybe you could show me a few moves?”
Aisha’s eyes widened as she saw (Y/n) walk in. After looking around (Y/n) spotted Adam and began to walk over.
“Sure,” Adam said. He and Sabrina began to walk away, leaving Aisha still holding her bag.
“Hey!” she yelled as she tossed the bag back to the new girl who only smirked in response. The pair walked down the steps and right past (Y/n) causing them to look confusedly at them and back at Aisha.
“Who is that?” they asked.
“I really don’t know, but she seemed only interested in Adam.”
(Y/n)’s eyes began to water and Aisha put her hand on her friends shoulder, “Let’s see if we can still use that poster.”
Adam practiced with Sabrina for over an hour and a half. Aisha and (Y/n) sat at the juice bar, the poster tucked away in Aisha’s bag for later. Sabrina finally grabbed her stuff to leave and the two walked up to Adam on the matts. The boy couldn’t wipe the smile off his face and (Y/n) felt a sting in their chest.
“Oh Adam!” Aisha said in a sing-song voice, waving her hand in his face, “Reality to Adam!”
“She’s great isn't she?” he said after he pulled his eyes away from where Sabrina had just left.
“I’m not so sure about her,” Aisha said.
“Come on, give her a chance,” Adam said, “(Y/n), tell her.”
(Y/n) took a deep breath in when they heard their name from the boy, “Yeah let’s just give her a chance Aisha. As long as she makes Adam happy.”
Aisha looked sadly at (Y/n). Adam broke the silence, “Why don’t you guys come hiking with us tomorrow? So you guys can get to know each other better.”
“Alright, I’ll give her a chance,” Aisha said. (Y/n) and Adam shared a smile before he walked away.
“Are you okay (Y/n)?”
(Y/n) began to feel tears form in their eyes, “I’m so stupid Aisha, I should’ve asked him earlier and now I’ve lost him.”
“Maybe she just wants a friend? Let’s just see what happens tomorrow,” the yellow ranger said as she put her arm around her friend.
(Y/n) could only nod.
_________________________________________
The next day was a nightmare.
(Y/n) ditched the poster since they couldn’t bring a bag with them. After they met up with Adam and Sabrina both (Y/n) and Aisha could tell that the girl did not want them there. From hitting Aisha in the face with her arm, to flat out ignoring (Y/n) when they said something, it was clear that Sabrina was showing her annoyance at their company.
“Why did you have to bring them along?” Sabrina scoffed to Adam.
“They’re my best friends, I just wanted all of you to get along.”
“Well, don’t hold your breath,” the raven haired girl scoffed.
The group finally got to a grove of trees but stopped in shock when Goldar and puddies appeared in front of them, “Where are you going?”
“Take cover Sabrina!” Adam yelled, “You too (Y/n).”
(Y/n) felt another pang in their chest, but tried to get behind the tree anyway.
“Thanks for the advice, power ranger. But I can take care of myself!”
The two stared in confusion that soon became shook as the girl morphed into a gold suit before walking over to join Goldar.
“What’s going on? Who are you?” Adam yelled.
“Scorpina! And I’m your worst nightmare.”
Before the three teens could react, Goldar swung his sword and they were tied up to the tree by a glowing rope, “Soon your friends will come to your rescue and that will be the end of the Power Rangers!”
Adam grunted as he tried to move his hands, “I can’t reach my morpher.”
“Me either,” Aisha said.
“Let us go you witch!” (Y/n) yelled.

It didn’t take long for the Rangers to figure out there wasn’t a new girl at Angel grove. After checking in with Zordon they found out that Sabrina was actually Scorpina. The rangers got to the park as fast as they could to save their friends.
“Are you guys okay?” Tommy yelled.
Goldar interrupted before the three hostages could talk, “So glad you all could join our little farewell party!”
“Go for it guys,” Adam said.
“Hang tight,” Tommy said, “ you guys handle the puddies, I’ll take Goldar and Scorpina.”
“Right! Let’s do it,” Rocky said.
“Worst day ever,” (Y/n) sighed as the rangers ran off. The group began knocking out puddies left and right.
“Why do you say that?” Adam asked. Tommy narrowly avoided a blast from Goldar.
“I had big plans for today and I don’t even know if I should do them after this.”
“What were they?” Rocky did a flying kick in the air knocking Goldar to the ground.
“Well… I was gonna ask someone to the dance, but he seemed interested in someone else.”
Kim landed a blow on Scorpina, making her lose balance.
“Can’t hurt to ask, the least he’ll do is say no.”
“I guess you’re right,” (Y/n) sighed.
The group finally knocked out the last of the puddies. Billy ran up to the tree and used his power lance on the ropes setting his friends free.
“Way to go guys!” Aisha said.
“Let’s do it Aisha! Zordon teleport (Y/n) to the command center,” Adam said.
Adam gave (Y/n) a thumbs up before she was transferred to the ranger’s base, then jumping back into the action with his team.
(Y/n) felt a pit in their stomach as they watched their friends battle the two monsters in the megazords. Once the battle was won the rangers returned to base, and (Y/n) began her usual check up on each ranger. After everyone was cleared for injuries they quickly gathered their things and left causing Adam to wonder what was bothering them.
______________________________
It took Aisha and (Y/n) two hours to get ready, with the first 45 minutes being Aisha convincing (Y/n) to go regardless of if she asked Adam or not. (Y/n) left with a single red rose tucked away for later.
Adam stood with Tommy and Kim at the dance. The awkwardness was present as Adam knew he was third wheeling with the star couple of Angel Grove high.
“Oh cheer up Adam, things could be worse,” Kim said.
“Yeah you could be going to the dance with Scorpina,” TOmmy joked as Adam shuddered.
“Hey, as long as I got my friends, everything will be cool.”
The lights were low and the music was bumping as the (Y/n) and Aisha walked into the youth center. They quickly found their friends in the big crowd of students.
“Wow (Y/n), you look amazing! RIght Adam?” Kim said.
Adams mouth was slightly open, practically drooling over their long time crush. Kim nudged him in the side breaking him from his trance, “Yeah you look awesome.”
(Y/n) smiled shyly.
Before (Y/n) could pull the rose out completely, Sarah Diaz approached and tapped Adam on the shoulder. (Y/n) pressed their lips together and turned away from the boy, but not before Adam could see the item they had in their hands.
“Hi Adam,” Sarah said shyly, “I was hoping you’d be here.”
“Sarah, hey. Where’s your date?” Adam said nervously.
“Um, I actually came here alone…”
Aisha stood watching the whole situation go down, she watched as (Y/n)’s eyes began to tear up again and she knew Tommy and Kim saw it too.
“Well I uh,” Adam said, he looked back at (Y/n) and saw their back turned to him, but he could still see the stem of the rose in their hands, “I actually came here with someone, but if you want you can stay with my friends.”
(Y/n)’s eyes looked up in confusion at their friends. The rangers looked at each other before shrugging.
“Oh, well that’s alright. My volleyball friends are here so I can just chill with them. It was nice seeing you Adam, (Y/n)’s really lucky,” Sarah said.
Adam turned back and tapped (Y/n) on the shoulder.
“I’ve been meaning to ask you for three days,” (Y/n) said as they held the rose out to the boy, “Lord Zedd just has terrible timing.”
Adam smiled as he took the rose into his right hand. Aisha sighed before exclaiming, “Don’t just stand there, ask them to dance!”
The two chuckled before Adam reached up and brushed (Y/n)’s hair back and placed the rose behind their ear, “Would you like to dance (Y/n)?”
TITLE: Front Row Seat (Tommy Oliver x Sister!reader)
Masterlist
Prompt/summary: (Takes place in MMPR season 3, no specific episode) Tommy misses opening night that the reader thought he’d be there for.
Word Count: 1,865
Warnings: none
Tommy Oliver is the most forgetful person on the planet.
Well, to his sister at least. From dance recitals to school plays Tommy had forgotten every one of them until last minute. He’d always tried to make it up to her, rather it be getting her flowers or fixing the piano in the house so she could finish her vocal lessons. He hated his sister being mad at him. It’s not his fault after all being a power ranger and all. He tried his best to make every performance and event his sister participated in but Lord Zedd never seems to rest.
He was late. Again.
He told me he was going to pick me up from my rehearsal for the spring musical but here I am, still sitting after over an hour of waiting on him. I really shouldn’t have expected anything else. Even my stage manager was skeptical about leaving me alone this late but I assured her that I would be fine and my brother was on his way.
Eventually anyways.
I gave up and pulled out my AP US History book. What kind of teacher assigns a three page homework assignment with essay questions? Eventually a two-door white mustang pulls up to the curb in front of me. I checked my watch, and he made it right at two hours.
Adam got out, flashing me a sad smile before pulling back the seat so I could get in the back.
“Hey (y/n),” Tommy said quietly as I got in the car.
I didn’t say anything as I buckled up my seatbelt. Adam got back in the car and Tommy pulled out of the school’s parking lot.
“How was practice?” Adam said, trying to make the silence less awkward.
“Good.”
Adam frowned at Tommy for my short response.
“Look (y/n), I’m sorry I was late I was-” Tommy started.
“Practicing? Lost time while you were with your friends? Doesn’t really matter. I should've just walked home,” I cut him off.
Tommy went silent and kept driving. Adam’s house slowly came into view and he flashed me a small smile as he stepped out of the car. Eventually Tommy popped a CD into the player, as he pressed play the sounds of my favorite Broadway musicals flowed through the speakers. I knew what he was trying to do but I really wasn’t having it. He knew that the music would get me to let my guard down so he’d be able to apologize.
“Listen I’m sorry I was late. I promise I will be there tomorrow.”
“It’s whatever. And I won’t need picked up till after the show tomorrow. You are coming right?”
“Would I really miss my little sister’s opening night? You’re gonna be the star of the show!” Tommy smiled.
I smiled slightly at his compliment. The streetlights went by slowly and before I knew it we were pulling up our driveway to our house. Our parents car was parked out front but their bedroom light was off.
I hopped out of the car and ran to the front door, my backpack swinging behind me. I kept my script tucked under my arm as I went upstairs to my room.
“Hey,” Tommy said from the bottom of the stairs, “you know we’re proud of you right?”
“Right,” I said quickly before turning around and rushing into my room.
_______________
I sat in my dressing room feeling exhausted as I applied the bright green paint on my body. Beverly, my co-star playing Galinda, was next to me removing her pin curls to the blonde wig.
“Is Tommy coming in tonight?”
“I don’t really know, knowing him he’s probably still at the gym practicing with Rocky.”
“Don’t be bummed, (Y/n). I’m sure he’ll turn up. You’ll do amazing regardless. He’s always talking in History class about how excited he is about your acting gigs,” she smiled as she applied the bright pink blush to her cheeks.
“Does he really?” I said. I was shocked. For all I knew he never talked about me. I wouldn’t think he would be that proud of me, especially with all his accomplishments he could talk about instead.
“Yes! He even handed out flyers for the show with the seniors yesterday.”
Before we could finish the stage manager called five minutes to places and we hurried to finish getting ready.
_______________
The music slowed as I finished belting out the last bars of the finale. I panted as the lights went down. FInally glad the show was over but I loved every second of it.
At curtain call I looked out at the audience. Nope. No sign of my brother anywhere. I sighed but wasn’t that surprised.
I made my way back to the dressing room to take a break and get ready to go home. Sliding into my comfy clothes to wear home and wiping all the makeup off.
“Hey! Why aren’t you out there with Tommy?” Beverly asked as she walked into the dressing room.
“He wasn’t here.”
“What? But he kept telling everyone he was gonna be here?” she said confused.
“Well he says a lot of things,” I said as I grabbed my bag and rushed out the door.
_______________
Tommy rushed into the theater right as curtain call ended, a bouquet of flowers in hand in (Y/n)’s favorite color. He looked around for his sister in the clumps of families taking pictures with the actors but didn’t see her anywhere. He knew he messed up.
Kimberly and the rest of the rangers came up behind him, “It’s okay Tommy we’ll find her, maybe she didn’t notice you weren’t here.”
“She always looks for me, I always promise her I’ll be there,”Tommy said. His head hung and his eyes started to tear up.
“Hey man let's go see if we can find her backstage, maybe she’s just getting ready?” Adam said.
Kim grabbed his hand and the group headed to the dressing rooms.
“Tommy!” Beverly yelled running up to them.
“Hey Beverly,” Kim said, “Where did (Y/n) go?”
“She headed out the back to walk home. Tommy, she was so excited before the show, I told her about the flyers you handed out and everything. Where were you?” Beverly said, placing her hands on her hips.
Tommy sighed, “I got tied up.”
“Uh-huh. Just like you were in the fall too when you didn’t even get to see her solo at the chorus recital. Maybe if you get in the car now you can grab her before she gets home.”
Tommy hid his face in his hands as the girl walked back into the dressing rooms to finish changing.
_______________
Tears blurred my vision as I tried to focus on the sidewalk. My bag was heavy against my hip and the street lights flickered in front on the ground. Why did I think anything would be different this time?
I saw headlights from a car pull up beside me. Rocky’s red jeep came into view and I kept walking.
“(Y/n)?” Tommy yelled.
I pulled my hair down over my face.
“(Y/n) please listen!”
“Why?” I snapped back.
“(Y/n) please get in the car so we can go home,” Tommy said.
I still kept walking. The car pulled ahead quickly before Tommy hopped out and stood in my path.
“(Y/n) please,” he said. I could tell he’d been crying because of the lift in his voice.
I looked up with puffy eyes only to be met with his own.
“You promised Tommy,” I sobbed.
“I know, I know,” he said as he pulled me into his arms, “I’m a terrible brother I know. Please get in the car and I’ll explain when we get home. It’s getting dark.”
I nodded and Kim opened the door for me to slide in between her and Adam. Kim grabbed my hand and rubbed circles on to the back of it to try and calm me down. I ended up falling asleep on Adam’s shoulder.
I felt Tommy pick me up and carry me into my room. He kissed my forehead and I fell asleep with my comfy clothes still on.
_______________
The next morning Tommy was gone before I could corner him and question him about last night. I dressed in my casual outfit before trying to call Kimberly to see if maybe he was with her.
I decided to go to the juice bar to track him down. I took a shortcut through the park and put earbuds in and my walkman in my back pocket. I felt the air suddenly go cold and I whipped around to strange creatures popping up out of the ground.
I’d heard about the Puddies that will randomly attack but I had never seen them yet. Luckily Tommy made me learn a few moves from him just in case. I quickly began to try and fight them off but there seemed to be too many.
“(Y/n)!” I heard someone yell. I turned to see Tommy and his friends running towards me.
“Tommy! Help!”
They quickly made work of the puddies, me helping out when I could but leaving most of the work to them. Soon enough the puddies were gone but a monster appeared in front of us. What is it today?
“(Y/n) get behind us!” Tommy yelled.
“Do we really wanna do this in front of her?” Rocky said.
“Got no choice Rock, it’s morphin time!”
I stood in shock as I watched my brother and his friends morph into the power rangers.
“What!’ I yelled.
“(Y/n) get to safety!” Kimberly yelled.
I didn't wait around to see what happened next.
_______________
I waited nervously at the juice bar for the rest of the afternoon. As soon as I saw Tommy walking in the door I tackled him in a hug.
“Omg what happened? I was so worried I didn’t know what was gonna happen to you guys please tell me you’re not hurt-”
Tommy cut off my ramble, “(Y/n), we’re fine. Let’s go somewhere quiet where we can talk about this.”
He led us out to his car. As the door closed behind me my mind started racing.
“So,” I started, “The reason why you’re always late is because you’re a power ranger?”
Tommy sighed, “Yes, for the majority of times at least.”
I nodded, still trying to process everything that just happened today.
“Are you mad?” Tommy asked nervously.
“Of course I’m a bit mad! You could get hurt!” I said.
Tommy nodded and laughed slightly, “Yeah yeah I know. I promise we stay as safe as possible and Zordon can heal us if we do get hurt.”
“Zordon?”
“It’s a long story. Wanna get ice cream?”
I scoffed but smiled at my brother, “Bribing me with ice cream now?”
“To make up for keeping that secret.”
“Hmmm… alright,” I smiled.
“Let’s go!” he said.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with ice cream and some well deserved quality time with my brother. I’d missed these days. And come the next show on Thursday, all the rangers gave me a giant bouquet of my favorite flowers. Tommy made sure he was in the front row seat.
TITLE: Hello, Cello (Adam Park x Cello player! reader)
Prompt/summary: (Zeo episode 12, Instrument of Destruction) Adam needs to be a more rounded student and gets placed in the same class as the reader who is a cello player in the classical music class
Word Count: 1,427
Warnings: none
Adam had a very weird morning. He went to school early to try and get some studying done, but of course the machine empire never rests. He saw Coggs trying to get into the music room where a mysterious piano player was and right as Adam and the Coggs got in the piano player was gone. By the time the first period came Adam was more confused than ever.
“And just as we got there, the music stopped, and the guy with the cape got out the other door” Adam explained to Kat and Tommy.
“Did you see who it was?” Tommy asked.
“Nope, All I saw was his back.”
“Aw man,” Tommy sighed, “I wonder why the Cogs are interested in music?”
Before they could answer the guidance counselor approached the three rangers, “Adam, there you are. I’ve been looking for you.”
“Is there a problem, Miss Rodriguez?” Adam asked.
“I’ve been going over your class schedule, and I noticed you’ve taken creative writing twice.”
“But I got an A both times,” Adam said.
“Exactly my point, I think you need more of a challenge. You should strive to be a more rounded student. Good luck,” she said as they handed him a new schedule.
Adam looked down at his schedule confused, everything looked the same as the one he had made. Then he saw his seventh period class had been switched from creative writing, to classical music appreciation.
“Well,” Bulk said behind him, Adam jumped, “What do we have here? Classical music. You and a bunch of losers playing boring music together? Sounds like loads of fun, right Skull?”
Adam ducked and turned around to face the two knuckleheads.
“Huh? Oh yeah. What a bunch of dweebs,” Skull said.
“Well I think it’s great Adam is trying something new and different,” Kat said.
“Yeah I mean after all Adam is great at creative writing, classical music will be a challenge,” Tommy chimed in.
Miss Rodriguez interrupted, pulling Skull away from the group.
______________
Later…
Adam entered the classical music class, sitting down at the piano he was assigned to. He watched as Skull kicked a dude off the drumset and took a seat.
“Mrs Rodriguez says I need to be a more well rounded student,” Skull scoffed.
“What’s wrong with that?” Adam asked.
“If anyone catches me in here, especially Skull, I’ll never hear the end of it.”
Mr. Hamms got the classes attention and started the introduction.
“Class! I’m classical music and this is Mr. Hamms,” the class laughed at the teacher's mix up. “Oh! That’s not right, I’m Classic Hamm and this is Mr. Music! No, no that’s wrong too. Well, anyways, before we play I have an announcement. There will be a music recital tonight at the youth center featuring our advanced students.”
“Thrilling!” Skull said sarcastically.
“There’s extra credit if you attend,” the teacher said, which seemed to persuade Skull.
“One of the advanced students is our very own (Y/n) (Y/l/n) who has volunteered to help in our beginners class for this semester. So if you need any help don’t be afraid to ask them.”
Mr. Hamms pointed to a student on the left side of the classroom. They were right across from Adam holding a weird stringed instrument. They waved shyly at the class. Adam caught their eye and they both smiled at each other before turning back to Mr. Hamms.
“(Y/n) would you care to play us a little excerpt from what you’re going to play tonight?”
“Now?” (Y/n) asked nervously.
“If you don’t mind to demonstrate your love for your instrument to the rest of the class.”
“Alright, can you play track 7 on the cd player for my accompaniment?” they said. They moved their chair and stand to the front before sitting down and adjusting their bow and sheet music. Mr. Hamms pressed play on the recording.
(A/N if you want to hear the song I’m describing, it’s Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 33. It’s the same song Mia plays in If I Stay and it’s one of my favorites to listen to as a cello player.)
They took a deep breathe as a recording of a piano began to play with them. The song was fast and passionate. Adam sat in awe as he watched the musician pour every ounce of passion they had into the strings. Their fingers were fast and the bow looked like a fury of powerful strokes. As the song came to a crescendo (Y/n) closed their eyes, the tempo got faster as the notes became higher and higher. Finally (Y/n) hit the last two chords to end the solo and let out deep breaths of air while holding her bow slightly in the air. The class was silent for a moment before erupting in applause. (Y/n) blushed before smiling and waving at the other students.
Adam was amazed. He had never seen someone play so passionately. Mr. Hamms instructed the class to experiment with their instruments. Adam began to play Chopsticks on the keys in front of him. (Y/n) placed her cello in her case before walking over to the boy, “Hey that sounds pretty good, where'd you learn that?”
“We had a piano when I was little, my mom knew a few things.”
“Well I’m glad you’re not a complete beginner then,” (Y/n) said, “Mind if I sit?”
Adam scooted over to let them sit next to him, “My name's Adam.”
(Y/n) stuck out their hand, “(Y/n). I play the cello.”
“Oh is that what that is? Well it sounded amazing earlier.”
“Thanks,” (Y/n) chuckled, “So I haven’t played piano in a while but I do remember the basics, so you want to place your hands like this-”
(Y/n) grabbed his hand lightly and guided them to the keys, “Keep your fingers rounded and a little loose so you can move them easier.”
“Like this?” Adam said, he began a simple roll starting from his pinky finger and moving up to his thumb.
“Yes exactly,” (Y/n) smiled.
The two lost track of time with (Y/n) teaching Adam the basics of sheet music and melodies. Before they knew it the bell was ringing and (Y/n) was packing up her bag.
“Hey,” Adam said, causing (Y/n) to look up, “do you think we could get together and practice over the weekend? I’d love to try and learn the piano part of that song you showed me earlier, what was it called?”
“Le cygne? It’d be a while before you could try that with the rhythms and everything, but I could show you the simple parts of it if you’d like.”
“That’d be awesome. Maybe we could grab some food afterwards too?”
(Y/n) smiled, “Like a date?”
Adam blushed but smiled, “Yeah, like a date.”
(Y/n) smiled and wrote something down on a piece of paper before handing it to Adam, “There’s my phone number, call me Friday and we’ll set up that date.”
Adam put the paper in his pocket. (Y/n) waved as they put their bag on their shoulder and walked out the door.

As (Y/n) walked onto the stage at the youth center, they looked everywhere for Adam in the crowd. As Adam and (Y/n) locked eyes (Y/n) let out a sigh of relief. Placing the sheet music onto the stand (Y/n) readied themself for their performance.
‘I’ll never get tired of this,’ Adam thought as he watched (Y/n). They seemed to go to a different place when they played. Adam wondered if they got nervous playing in front of all these people. (Y/n)’s eyes were closed and their body seemed to become one with the beautiful wooden instrument. As the final chords rang out through the youth center, the entire audience erupted in applause. Adam stood and followed (Y/n) to the back behind where the stage had been set up.
“You were amazing!” Adam said as he pulled the cello player into a hug.
“Was I really?” (Y/n) asked. Adam nodded his head, his arms still wrapped around them as they pulled back to look at him.
“I always close my eyes when I’m on stage, it makes it seem like I’m focusing but I’m really just trying to ignore all those eyes on me.”
Adam laughed causing (Y/n) to smile. They both continued to look into each others eyes, smiling like idiots. Finally Adam leaned down and connected their lips. (Y/n) wrapped their arms around his kneck. Everything felt blissful as they pulled back and opened their eyes.
TITLE: True Blue Ranger (Justin Stewart x sister!reader)
Masterlist
Prompt/summary: (Turbo episode 6, Rally Ranger) Reader is Justin’s older sister and she’s livid when she finds out her brother is a power ranger.
Word Count: 1,566
Warnings: none
Justin has been really quiet lately. It’s to be expected after mom died and he got pushed into high school, but at least he has friends that can watch out for him when I can’t be there. At the start of this year I tracked down Tommy, Kat, Tanya, Adam, and Rocky and made them promise to watch out for my little brother, I was so worried something might happen to him when I wasn’t around especially when I was at work at the juice bar. I had started to get worried because Justin would go missing at strange times, morning evening and night. I'd turn around and he’d be gone only to later find out he was with our friends.
Dad was still unemployed. Even though he was looking for a job I picked up extra hours at the juice bar in hopes of keeping up with the endless expenses that come with raising a little brother, but sometimes it still felt like I wasn’t doing enough. I just want Justin to be happy. Kat had been a huge help, getting Justin signed up for the shelter and helping me get him to and from school. She always made sure he was doing okay.
When Justin decided he wanted to be in the soap box derby our friends really stepped up, helping him get all the supplies he needed to build his car and entering him in the race. I offered to pay for the expenses but they told me to worry about the bills for this month instead. I don’t know what I’d do without then honestly.
Adam, Kat, and I watched as Justin raced down the hill with the other racers trailing right behind him. As a black car got onto his left side I began to worry as they started to bump into each other. One last bump and Justin went flying off the road and into the hay bale borders.
“Justin!” I yelled as I rushed over to pull him out of the car.
“Are you alright?” Kat said.
“I’m alright,” Justin sighed, “but look at my racer, it’s trashed.”
Adam tried his best to cheer him up, “As long as you’re alright it doesn’t matter.”
The announcer came on to say that the Mean Machine had won the practice race. Justin sighed again turning to see him crossing the finish line.
“Aw man. Tomorrow’s the Angel Grove Derby. I’ll never get True Blue fixed in time.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll help you Justin,” Adam said.
“Yeah thanks, but that’d be against the rules. I have to build it myself.”
“Tough luck stewart,” The boy that drove the Mean Machine said, “I’d get that steering checked out if I were you.”
“Why’d you do that Warren? It’s only a practice run,” I sneered, placing my hand on Justin’s shoulder.
“Every race counts sweetie, and it looks like I won’t be seeing you at the derby tomorrow. Your racer’s history.”
“I’ll be there, and don’t call her sweetie!” Justin was getting madder by the minute.
“Right,” Warren scoffed, “Even you couldn’t fix that mess by tomorrow. Why don’t you just give it up? Face it, you don’t fit in, egghead.”
Justin’s face turned red with rage as Warren walked off.
“Don’t listen to him Justin,” Kat said. I turned Justin around and pulled him into a hug. Ruffling his hair always calmed him down but as I went to do it he pulled away from me and turned back to Kat and Adam.
“But he’s right. I don’t fit in,” he said. He turned and began to push his racer away.
As he walked off tears began to form in my eyes. Kat and Adam saw them and pulled me into a hug.
“You can’t protect him from everything (Y/n),” Kat said while trying to wipe my tears away.
“I know Kat, but I can’t help him like mom used to. He won’t even talk about it, even though we both know he needs it. He won’t hug me or dad either he just brushes us off. I don’t want him to hate us Kat.”
“He doesn’t and you know that. He’s just having a rough time,” Adam said, he placed his hand on my shoulder. I could only nod in response.
“Let’s go help him load up,” Kat said.

I dropped Justin off at the auto shop and sat in the car while he worked. My shift at the juice bar started at 3 and Justin called me around 8 to ask if he can continue working on it that night. I said okay and by the time I went to check on him the next morning Justin was asleep on the floor of the shop. Tools scattered everywhere and grease covered his face and clothes.
“Aw, he’s sleeping,” Kat said as they walked in.
“I’ll bet he’s been working on his racer all night,” Tommy said.
“Poor thing, this race really means a lot to him,” Kat said.
Adam pointed at the blue sheet over the racer, “But it’s covered up, maybe it was too much for him to finish.”
Justin stirred on the floor before lifting himself up, “Whew, what time is it?”
“Time to rise and shine,” Adam laughed.
“Today’s your big day, come on let’s get it loaded up in the truck. We can stop and get you some breakfast,” I said.
“Oh yeah, the big day,” Justin grumbled causing me to frown.
“What’s the prognosis on True Blue?” Tanya asked.
“Well, I got permission to work on it all night and I did the best I could but…”
Tommy chimed in, “Hey we know you didn’t have a lot of time. You tried your best that’s all that matters.”
“I guess I should let you guys see it,” Justin said. He pulled the covers off to show a new and improved True Blue 2.
“It looks awesome!” I said.
“You really had us going, how did you build this in one night?” Kat asked.
“Easy, I used my egghead,” Justin grinned. Everyone chuckled.
Tommy and Adam pulled the racer out to my truck and loaded it into the back, then we set off for the race.
____________________________________________
I found a spot to watch the race and sat down. I watched as Justin climbed out of his car and went to join the others.
“What’s going on?” I said as I walked over to them. Tommy’s watch clicked off and they all looked worriedly at each other.
“We uh- I have to go to the bathroom!” Justin said.
“Alright then,” I said slowly, “And you need all of them to help you find it?”
“Yes, just go back to your spot I’ll be back soon,”Justin said as he started to push me back in the direction of my spot.
“Justin! What’s the matter with you?”
“Nothing! Just please go, okay?”
“Alright alright I’m going!” I said.
I went back in the direction of my spot before stopping and hiding behind a tree, just in earshot of the group.
“Shift into Turbo!” I heard them yell, I peeked out from behind the tree to see them morph into the power rangers before being teleported out in a beam of light.
Oh he’s so grounded after this!
____________________________________________
I was still fuming by the time they got back. The race had started already but there was a big commotion with Warrens racer. The breaks had somehow stopped working and the boy was flying down the hill. I saw Justin jump into True Blue and begin racing after him.
“Justin be careful!” I yelled.
Justin sped up beside Warren and pulled in front, he used his breaks to slow down both of the cars before hitting the barricade. Justin jumped out and checked on the boy before going back to our friends. I packed up my lawn chair and began to walk over to them.
“Tommy Oliver!” I yelled as I walked over.
“Uh oh,” Justin said.
I lowered my voice as I got to them, “Do you want to tell me why I saw my little brother morph into a Power Ranger earlier?”
“Oh well I uh-”
“No don’t even start with me! How could you just let him join? He’s only 12!”
“(Y/n) stop,” Justin said, stepping in front of me, “He didn’t let me join, our mentor Zordon did. It was my decision to join. They make sure I’m safe!”
I sighed and put my hands up to rub over my eyes.
“(Y/n) I promise we won’t let anything bad happen to him, but he’s a really good ranger,” Kat said.
I looked at my brother before looking back at my friends, “Alright.”
Justin whooped before I continued.
“How are we gonna hide this from dad?” I turned to Justin who shrugged.
“Okay,” I said, I pointed to Tommy and Adam, “If anyone asks, you two are his new martial arts instructors.”
“But I haven’t taken MA classes in a couple of years,” Justin said, confused.
“Yeah, but they’re your new instructors and if you happen to disappear for a bit you’ll be at a last minute practice, okay?”
“Ohhhh I get it now!” Justin said happily.
The rest of the group laughed as Justin hugged me.
“If he gets hurt you’re all getting your butts kicked though.”
“Trust me, the power will protect him,” Tommy said.
Prompt/summary: (Zeo episode 30, Oily to bed, oily to rise) Reader volunteers with Rocky as a lifeguard for the Angel Grove surfing competition
Word Count: 1,104
Warnings: none
“Welcome! To the Angel Grove catch a wave competition. The first competitor comes from Stone Canyon High. Give it up for champion surfer Joe Orchard!” The announcer said. The crowd began to cheer as Joe made a move on the wave. (Y/n) had never been one for surfing but when they got the option to volunteer as a lifeguard for this competition they immediately took it. There were two reasons as to why they did, first it would look good on a college resume, second they knew Rocky DeSantos would also be volunteering.
(Y/n) walked down the ramp to the lifeguard tower on the shore of Angel Grove beach, Rocky trailing behind her, “Rocky I’m heading to the lifeguard stand, you’ll be in charge of first aid for the day,” (Y/n) said.
“No problem (Y/n),” He smiled. (Y/n) felt their heart skip a beat. The two saw Tommy and Kat standing below the tower and Rocky began to walk towards them. (Y/n) turned and began to make her way to the lifeguard stand to give the friends some alone time. She didn’t know Tommy and Kat that well anyways and didn’t want to make it awkward.
“Hey guys!” he yelled.
“Hey Rocky, what’s up?” Tommy said as the blue ranger approached him.
“You think the gold ranger knows how to surf?”
Tommy and Kat stood up, “I never really thought about it Rock.”
“Think about it though,” Kat chimed in, “He could be standing right near us and we wouldn’t even know about it.”
The boys both hummed in agreement. Rocky stared at the lifeguard tower (Y/n) was sitting at and sighed. He had the chance to ask her out this morning while they were setting up, but he blew it of course. He thought they looked amazing in their swimsuit. Tommy saw where his friend was looking at and nugged Kat’s arm.
“You know you should ask them out later today, maybe ask them to dinner,” Kat suggested.
Rocky turned with his eyes wide at his friends, “Who?”
Tommy laughed at his embarrassment, “(Y/N), come on bro everyone knows you have a thing for them.”
“Yeah but they don’t like me like that, look at them.”
The group turned to watch the lifeguard. (Y/n) grabbed their water bottle and uncapped it, trying to stay cool in any way possible.
Rocky sighed, “I almost asked them out this morning. I freaking blew it man. It’s like I was looking at them and I completely lost everything I was gonna say.”
“I feel ya man,” Tommy said, looking at Kat while he was saying it. The pink ranger didn’t notice however since she was putting her surfboard wax away.
“Anyways,” Kat said, “I better get ready, my heats up next.”
“Good luck Kat,” Rocky said as her and Tommy walked away.
Rocky went back to his post at the top of the lifeguard tower. The sun on his back caused spots of sweat to appear on his shirt. He eventually got tired of it and ended up taking it off and grabbing a bottle of sunscreen to apply.
(Y/n) bit their lip. They turned just in time to see the boy taking his volunteer shirt off and the young lifeguard almost lost their balance on the stand. Eventually Rocky looked up to see them staring and smiled causing them to come to their senses. (Y/n) smiled back at him before turning back to the competition.
___________
Later…
The competition was in full swing and getting ready to wrap up. They cheered for Katt as she prepped for another wave to take the lead. Suddenly there was a commotion on the shore, (Y/n) looked up to see some sort of green sludge making its way towards the surfers. They tried to find Rocky in the crowd of people but lost hope after a few seconds. They grabbed their whistle and sent out a few tweets telling everyone to get out of the water. Rocky finally came into (Y/n)’s view, running along the edge of the water while yelling at the competitors to get out.
(Y/n) saw Tommy and David swimming out to Katt. They saw Katt go under water and let out a yell. As the three of them paddled to shore on Katt’s surfboard (Y/n) climbed down from the tower. Rocky and (y/n) began to usher people back from the water. Rocky ran over to the three friends and (Y/n) followed behind. She gave water bottles to the Katt, Tommy, and David after they collapsed on the shore. Rocky’s communicator beeped.
“(Y/n),” Rocky said, “We’re going to go get help. Can you keep everyone out of the water?”
“Of course,” (Y/n) said.
Rocky smiled at them, and without thinking he kissed them on the cheek. They both smiled at each other before (Y/n) turned and ran back to the stand.
Rocky finally realized what had just happened, “Oh Zordon why did I just do that?”
“Good job bro,” Tommy said.
Rocky shook his head before calling back to the command center.

After the fight…
After the coast was cleared the competition started back up again. (Y/n) waited and waited for Rocky and was searching the crowd when they weren’t watching the surfers. FInally Rocky and his friends appeared near the edge of the water and (Y/n) climbed down the tower to greet them.
Tommy nudged his friend when he saw (Y/n) running over to them, causing Rocky to blush.
“There you are!” (Y/n) said, pulling the boy into a hug before turning to the group, “I was so worried. You won’t believe it! The Power Rangers showed up while you were gone. Where were you anyways?”
“We went to get help, it’s good the Rangers saved the day,” Tommy said.
“I heard the Pink one is the best,” Katt smiled.
(Y/n) scoffed, “No it’s definitely the blue one.”
Rocky blushed even more. Luckily (Y/n) didn’t see it.
The announcer came over the microphone, “Okay surfing fans! The moment you’ve all been waiting for. The judges have made their final decisions. And the winner of the Angel Grove Catch a Wave competition is… Johnny Spitzer!”
The crowd cheered as the winner accepted his trophy. (Y/n) clapped and smiled at the surfer and turned to Rocky, “I wish Katt would have won.”
“Yeah me too,” Rocky paused and took a deep breath, “Would you like to go to dinner tonight?”
(Y/n) smiled at the nervous boy, “I was gonna ask you the same thing.”
The two smiled at each other as they intertwined hands.
Rocky couldn’t be any happier, “I guess I’m the real winner today.”
Prompt/summary: Part 2 to True Blue Ranger, Reader watches her brother Justin compete in the Rally Race.
Word Count:
A/N: Just a short part 2 because people seemed to like part 1, leave a comment if you’d like me to write more for Justin!
“Well it looks like we’re finally going to get this race started,” Lieutenant Stone said, “Let’s hope things go smoothly this time. Good luck!”
Him and Alex and Aisha walked off leaving Justin and I to load up his racer at the starting line.
“Alright got your helmet?” I asked.
“Yup.”
“You checked the breaks?”
Justin smiled, “Working perfectly this morning.”
“Well check them before you take off, we don’t want a repeat of yesterday's antics.”
“(Y/n), I’ll be fine! True Blue is gonna kill it today,” Justin said as he hopped into his racer.
“Hey Justin!” Warren said, “It’s great that they were able to reschedule the race today.”
I was about to say something but Justin cut me off, “Yeah it is.”
I felt myself fuming at the bully but decided to let him handle it.
“Listen, I’m sorry about the things I said the other day. I guess I was kind of jealous of how smart you are,” Warren said shyly.
Justin smiled, “Really?”
“Yeah, hey maybe we could work on our racers together sometime! I bet I could learn a lot from you,” Warren smiled.
“That’d be cool!” Justin said, the boys put their helmets on and I smiled happy that my little brother finally seemed to make a friend his own age.
“Justin I’ll be right over there with the others, come find me when the race is over okay?”
“Okay (Y/n), see you later!” He waved as I walked back over to my spot with Adam and Aisha.
“Wait stop the race! There’s someone on the track!” Lieutenant Stone yelled.
We all gathered at the starting line to watch. The racer was speeding down the hill and loud shrieks could be heard from the driver.
“Who is that?” Katherine said.
Lieutenant Stone shrugged, “Absolutely no idea.”
The racer crashed into a smoothie stand causing it to spray all over the owner. Two chimps crawled out of the car and started screeching. We all ran down the hill to try and help.
Lieutenant Stone shrugged and went to pick them up, “Sorry folks, I’ll take care of these two. Come on fellas, you’ve had your fun. I’ve got a job you’ll find very appealing.”
“Excuse me, are these your monkeys?” the lady asked.
“Well, yes, I suppose they are.”
The lady smirked and poured a smoothie over his head while everyone laughed.
The race was a close call, but Justin’s True Blue pulled through just at the last second winning the race. We all cheered as Justin got out and took off his helmet to wave to the crowd chanting his name. Lieutenant Jones presented him with the prize, a giant trophy with a racer on top. Justin ran over to us waving it proudly. Tommy picked him up and placed him on his shoulder, Justin giggling and smiling proudly.
“See we told you you could do it!” I said.
“Thanks guys! Hey, can we go get ice cream to celebrate?” Justin asked.
“I don’t see why not,” Katherine said.
After loading True Blue into the back of my truck we headed out to Earnie’s to get ice cream.
“Hey guys! What can I get for you?” Earnie smiled.
“Ice cream cones for all of us, and a chocolate fudge sundae for Justin,” Tommy said while pulling out his wallet.
“Really, I get chocolate fudge? Awesome!” Justin yelled.
“What’s the occasion?” Earnie said while calculating the change.
Katherine put her hand on Justins shoulder, “He just won the rally race and requested ice cream to celebrate.”
Earnie laughed, “Then his sundae is on the house, good job Justin!”
We all smiled as Earnie handed us our ice cream and we walked over to our normal booth.
“So what’s gonna happen to True Blue now?” I asked.
“I got some big changes I’m gonna test out, Warren said there’s a hill in his backyard we can test out our racers on! And (Y/n) he has an older brother you can hang out with,” Justin said and wiggled his eyebrows.
I blushed a deep shade of red as the rangers giggled.
“That’s nice Justin but I think I’ll just give you a ride there.”
Justin ate his ice cream happily and soon it was dark outside and time to go home. We loaded into the truck and I started to drive home. I could tell Justin was tired so I turned on a CD with some softer music. He leaned his head against the window and by the time we were pulling into the driveway he was already asleep.
I picked him up as softly as I could and carried him inside, his racer could be unloaded tomorrow. He stirred a bit as I laid him down in his bed. I left him in his clothes because I know he’ll fuss at me in the morning cause he’s old enough to change into them himself but I’ll always be his big sister that wants to help him.
I knew I’d be gone before he wakes up in the morning, so for now I just stand in the doorway watching him sleep for just a moment.
“Goodnight Justin,” I said as I turned off the light, turning to get ready for bed myself.
