♢ ┈┈ STARTER CALL || @carnellion

      Lance didn’t often hang out with the lions other than Blue. He had no reason to, really. However, such an unlikely occasion was suddenly taking place. With Pidge’s lion departed, Keith, Shiro and herself with it, Lance was left in the castle alone. Ok, not exactly alone. The rest of the lions were still in their hangars and Hunk was with Coran and possibly Allura somewhere in the castle, but Lance was still by himself as of current, and wildly bored. It was by accident he wandered into Red, wandering the halls of the castle in some attempt to get lost.

      ❝Oh - Hey, sunshine,❞ he greeted, nickname falling from his lips automatically.

“ i got you. it’s gonna be okay, you’re going to be okay.”

  – There is a lot more blood than there should be.

  A hand grasped over his stomach, the crimson staining the clear white his gloves once where. The hanger in the Castle suddenly seems a lot bigger, the door leading out a lot farther. He stumbles, once, twice, before he falls, knees colliding with the ground of the hanger. The world seems to fade for a moment before a hand grasps his shoulder, another quickly grabbing hold of the other and supporting him.  

  “I got you. It’s gonna be okay, you’re going to be okay.”

  Is he? He’s not sure. He’s already beginning to feel faint, the inklings of unconsciousness beginning to make themselves known. Even with Red’s help, the door still seems too far away, the crimson spreading further and further.  He knows he shouldn’t be out there, knows that Shirogane is going to kill him when he finds out, but he knows that he can’t stand just doing nothing as people are in danger.

  Lance always did curse his “Goddamn Hero Genes” after all, claiming one day they would get him killed. Guess he was right.

  Ahead of them, the door slides open, and for a brief second, Keith can spot white and red standing in the doorway before his eyes slide shut, and another hand joins Red’s, his body being lifted from the ground. He goes limp, the small bit of strength he has left seeping out. For a second, he is confused on who is holding him up with Red, before he realizes, it’s the younger him, Red presumably having called for her paladin for help.

  He’s grateful.

  The sounds of the two talking, as well as that of the door sliding open once more reach his ears. He can’t make out any words, the sounds of the two talking fading out into background noise. Something is pressed to his stomach, covering his wound after his hand had fallen. As soon as they have left the hanger more voices begin to add to the noise, someone rushing over and gently taking his body from Keith and Red. He is moving, quickly, he presumes.  

   Another door slides open, and he forces himself to open his eyes, gathering up the last remains of strength he has to look. Shirogane’s worried face is the first thing he is greeted with, the mystery of who’s arms he is in solved. He is set down on a table, Shirogane calling out to someone over his shoulder. Keith’s helmet is removed quickly, a brief moment of hesitation following before the rest of his uniform is removed. Something is shoved into the Black Paladin’s hands, before someone – Lance, he believes, if the tanned skin is anything to go by – joins him, quickly dressing Keith in what he realizes is the outfit the team usually dresses someone in if they are to go in the cryopod.

  A quick look around notes that the rest of the Paladins are hovering nearby, Red hovering close to her Paladin. He musters up a ghost of a smile before his eyes slide shut and he is picked up once more. His back hits something solid before cold starts seeping in, and he relaxes.

  He is safe.

  He will survive.

It seemed like Red was getting more and more pessimistic and sad these days. Heck, the two sisters hadn’t had a good fight for like, TWO WHOLE DAY! Something was really off here.

“Stop seeing what, Red? If this has anything to do with the blue and green goop by the hanger door, than just close your eyes and pretend that it’s not there! Coran will clean it up later.”
