Cute was certainly the right word for it, she thinks. She lifts a hand to her mouth, giggling a little.
... Well I hope this won't be the last time we see each other. You've been quite lovely so far. ,,
Sybil's hands wring gently as he talks, a small stim that she did unconsciously while listening. Her eyes were ever attentive though, sparkling slightly in curiosity. A gift, he said. She couldn't help but think the same, she was just a simple girl in her apartment after all. Working on a lifes work, even if it all amounts to nothing. It makes her happy, that's all she needed.
... Only one of you, but there are many of you too aren't there? Not specifically you, but the gods in general. Over generations, we've made our own beliefs in gods that could exist out there somewhere, but due to circumstance, we may never see them. The Greeks, the Egyptians, Hindu gods, all of them. There was something that sparked us all to believe. To say there is only one is an understatement... although, maybe that's not what you meant. ,,
She giggles shyly, looking away. She always took any reason to ramble, it's just how her mind worked. However, Quinn's next words also have her thinking. Transforming them to have them understand... to understand them. His hand lifts to her mouth once more as she thinks, lips parted only slightly as she mulls those ideas over. Well, a god knows how a god thinks, wouldn't he? These were only guesses, sure, but it made plenty of sense to her. She tucks all of that away for later, she would be writing that down somewhere.
... That's similar to what I believed. I think for one reason or another, it came here to observe us. For why, I have no clue, but I don't think it means to transform us. Upon seeing it, it... pulls you. It gives you knowledge of things you were never supposed to know in the first place... and, in turn, it's knowledge wakes something in us. ,,
She blinks a few times, she had been staring at a spot on the floor rambling, as if bringing it from recesses of her mind that she wasn't supposed to go to. No, not again.
She rubs her eyes, shaking the thoughts away. Stop it, Sybil. That pain in your head isn't good for you, clearly you've said something you shouldn't have. The stars in her eyes seem to shimmer, but she was keeping herself under control. She once again tunes into Quinn's words, clearing her throat when it was her turn to speak.
... God of dreams... fascinating. My dreams are... something, alright. Falling in a world of color while these four... or, five, figures will surround me. Maybe... you can take a look sometime? To figure out what's causing it. It's reoccuring, and it's frightening. I always wake up in a cold sweat... ,,
The comment on her name though makes her smile, and she pipes up right away.
... It's of Greek origin, it's based off the sibyls, the oracles of Greece. It also has pagan origins, but a lot of Christian girls had the same due to it being related to said sibyls delivering messages from deities. That... tracks, my father was heavily Christian. My mother, not so much. ,,
... Oh, please don't mind my rambling. I research a little bit of everything that sounds interesting. I haven't had anyone else to talk to for a while besides Sam next door. And Lyle recently, he's been very sweet! ,,
@carnival0fdreams \\ continued from here... XKit being a pain again.
