Carnivals or a Drink? (Flashback Self Para)

Title: Carnivals or a Drink? Description: Logan was still new at being a vampire. So what happened when he was taken to a carnival by Lucinda Volar, his maker? Trigger Warning: blood, killing, death
Carnival and festivals were very different back then.
They consisted of only a few merchants selling their goods and a small circle in the middle for dancing and children to run around. Yet, all the spirit’s of those in town would be lifted. Faces would be filled with glee and awe as they wandered from vender to vender. Their children giggling and wrestle playing with their each other. The men would gather for drinks to whatever reason they could think of to celebrate. All were seen with happiness and freedom to do as they pleased during the festival.
All except Logan Cree.
Logan had been forced to attend a place that was too much temptation. Too many veins standing out and too many necks exposed. But the poor boy didn’t know that was Lucinda Volar’s plan all along. It seemed Lucinda wasn’t pleased with how Logan’s transformation was going and his behavior towards her-regardless of the bond they had. He was still young and new to the vampire urges and Lucinda was all for taking advantage of that.
“Put a smile on that handsome face of your’s Crest. I wish to be accompanied by a gentleman who’s smile draws me in. Nothing less, understood my dearest?” The maker narrowed her sharp eyes at the newly turned vampire who simply nodded and did as he was told.
Logan Cree didn’t understand. Why was he to go by the name of Crest? The man didn’t understand why he felt the need to please his maker and follow every one of her directions. He didn’t understand why she would take him to a public place where he wouldn’t be able to control himself. It wouldn’t be until years later when Logan would come across another vampire who would explain how the maker and progeny bond worked as well as everything that came with the curse they lived in.
“Would you like something to drink Lucinda?” Logan asked with a gentle smile on his lips.
“Oh why of course I would!” The woman replies with a giggle and seductive smile. All the men were looking at her and she knew, but put little efforts to stop it.
Heading towards one of the venders who supposedly sold the popular drink tonight, Logan was stopped by Lucinda’s grip on his arm. “Not that kind of drink my love.” Her eyes glowed as they searched his. Oh, he thought feeling his jaw tighten and his stomach growl.
“Very well....” Logan nodded and searched the crowd for someone who wouldn’t be missed. The poor soul still had no idea how it all worked but Lucinda was sure to change that.
Sighing softly Lucinda whispered while facing the crowd. Because they were vampires, she knew Logan wouldn’t have an issue hearing him. “Close your eyes Crest. Tonight shall be different, you’ll see soon enough. Search with your nose and focus. You cannot miss it.”
It? Logan wondered but did not ask and closed his dark eyes. He took one deep breath and felt the rush of something. Frowning a little, the man took another whiff and it was then that he was able to ignore the smells of wood burning, alcohol, dusty wool, and sweaty necks. Logan immediately opened his eyes, his face changing. Lucinda took note of that letting her musical chuckle out into the open.
“There we go....”
Without asking for permission or waiting for an explanation, Logan walked in the direction of the woman who was sitting alone with a drink in her hand. It appeared that she was waiting for someone but Logan had other plans. Not looking her in the eye, he grabbed her arm and jerked her upwards. “You’re coming with us!” He growled saliva filling his mouth.
The girl’s eyes showed nothing but panic and fear. But Logan didn’t dare look into them. Lucinda suddenly stood next to them and gave the girl a sweet smile looking into her eyes. “Relax sweetie....just relax. Wonderful, now why don’t you accompany us. We have a few questions for you....” The girl looked confused until her panic subsided and a smile appeared.
“Yes.” That was the first and last time Logan wished to hear her voice. Taking her arm still forcefully, Logan pulled her into the shadows and far from any eyes or ears. When they were far enough the vampire pushed her against the tree and stared right at her neck. Holding her arms at her side was easy with his new strength but what wasn’t easy was controlling his thirst.
“Now dear, I want you to continue to relax and not scream.” Lucinda whispered her face inches from the other as if her eyes were controlling what the girl was feeling. But Logan paid no attention to that. He was watching as the blood was pumping through the girls neck and when a small vein popped up, Logan waited no more.
Fangs sinking into the girls neck seemed natural for Logan at the moment while the relief and ecstasy he felt from the girls blood was too good to be true. Logan continued to drink from the girl, feeling the blood glide down his throat and a loud moan escaped. What was this? Why was this blood making him feel pleasure that no one else had made him feel before?
“I take it you are enjoying this feast love?” Lucinda said out loud and chuckled. Smirking, she ran her hand through Logan’s hair watching his face. With her progeny’s closed eyes and lost in pleasure, Lucinda continued to speak, “This is Fey’s blood, Crest. It carries unbelievable gifts when drunk completely as you will witness tomorrow morning when I allow you to be out in the sun for a few hours only.”
Logan Cree did not care. Somewhere in the background he thought he heard his makers voice but his meal was the priority. He drank and drank until the body provided no more and went limp in his arms.
“I want more.”
A smirk as evil as Lucifer appeared on Lucinda’s face as did her fangs, “Now that’s more like it Crest.”
