Kenzo 2017-2020

In 2011, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon were announced as the creative directors of French high fashion brand Kenzo, the first Asian-Americans to hold that title in LVMH history. Lim and Humberto founded the fashion brand Opening Ceremony in 2002, which went on to collaborate with clients like Spike Jonze, Yoko Ono, Chloe Sevigny, and the New York City Ballet.

After eight years at Kenzo, Lim and Humberto stepped down, reportedly to focus on their Opening Ceremony collection. Their last show for Kenzo was at Paris fashion week in June of 2019.
