This is a photo of my grandparents (in the center) when they met in Texas while my grandfather was on leave from the Army during WWII. That couple kissing is my grandfather’s army buddy, who won the coin toss on where to spend their leave. They went to visit his fiancée and my grandfather met her sister and the rest is history.

I’m very sorry this is happening. Honestly you don’t deserve it. If friends are upset with one another they talk it out. (Family too, though that’s more complicated of course.) Hopefully they will cool off eventually and want to talk. I know it sucks not knowing what happened and you probably feel terrible. Though I’m glad you got your car back. Please take care of yourself. <3

Listen I know I don’t really know you and I should just mind my own business, but if someone steals your property then they owe you an explanation as to why. The thing is you could call the police and have them arrested for that. So yes, they do owe you an explanation as to why they’re upset enough to break the law. Anyway I hope you are okay and somewhere safe.

they just took it to the bus station and left it there and i was able to retrieve it really easily and i dont want to push someone who thinks that i was fucking them over?? i dont want to do anything that coming off as aggressive bc what if i really did fuck up like lmao now im crying i dont know what the fuck i did wrong im not angry im upset. upset that i apparently did something to cause this and upset that i might be a shitty person

I've found that most books about ghost stories are written that way. I think the authors assume writing 'academically' gives more credibility to their folklore studies, which is fine and all, but they have to know 98% of their audience just wants to be scared. It's always disappointing and yet I keep buying them whenever I find them secondhand.

i was so excited to see that theres an entire chapter dedicated to ghost stories at various mcmenamins locations and now im not even looking forward to getting that far
