Now spinning Stranger in the Alps pressed into a glorious lavender. I’ve come back to Leuchtturm1917 for my journal home, super hyped after watching @overalladventures turn her journals into an ecstatic chrysalis. And I found this new book at Kinokuniya: The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt- a novel in pictures, about a young woman of the 20s graduating high school, journeying to Vassar College to be a writer, with her grandad’s scrapbook and her fathers old Corona. I’ve got my Almond Tea...and now I’m just confused. I’ve already started reading Traitor’s Kiss and I want to give it more of a chance before I just move on to something else...then there’s Frankie Pratt, such a charming little story told in a scrapbook/diary set in the 20s...and then there’s Caroline, a book I picked up after discovering (after Vengeance Road) that I really love pioneer fiction, and this one’s in the world of Little House On The Prairie. Also, The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt (a novel in pictures) is one of the most delightful reads! Every picture, magazine cut out, excerpt of writing, or heirloom that fills this novel is curious and lovely! Inspires my journaling process as well as my vintage girls heart!
