Friends

Things have changed so much for me this year,

I made some new friends and learned how to respect myself,

I've become so incredibly thankful for the place I grew up and the people I've met.

But all I've done for years is act like I didn't care about any of that; I pushed people away, acted like a dick, and thought I was perfectly happy being alone most of the time. And the sad part is, I think I was for a while. I became much too used to it.

I had so many opportunities to bond with people, become better friends, and hang out often. But there were so many times I said no, just because I wanted to be alone.

If I could re-do high school, I honestly would. I would do it all over again, the right way. But something I have also learned how to do quite well this year, is to move on and keep the good memories in the back of my mind.

I can't change the past, but now that summer is on it's way, I just want to see my friends.

I know this might come as a huge shocker, but yes, I miss my friends! I really fucking miss my friends. Yeah, I saw a few over spring break, but I miss seeing everyone.

It took a long time, but it has finally hit me so hard. I don't like being alone anymore, it's become miserable.

I want to know how everyone is doing. And when summer comes, I don't want to spend a single day alone. I don't want a single day to go by without me seeing or talking to at least one of my friends.

These people have put up with me and my insanity for a long time and they're all incredible. It's a wonder I have any at all. I'm never going to push any of them away anymore for any reason.

I don't want any one of them to think I don't care about them, because I'm a human (believe it or not) and I wouldn't be able to live without them.

I'm all better now. I promise.

Every night I fall asleep to the visions of my own apartment. 

The silverware, the dishes (all matching), the furniture, my own kitchen, my bedroom, the spare room, the bathroom.

Everything all organized, so nice. 

It would be all mine. No one to answer to. I would be able to get up and go make a pot of coffee and drink it all. No questions asked.

What a dream.
