Thud thud thud thud. The rhythm of her feet impacting the concrete filled Enya’s ears, reverberating through her whole body as she ran. Her ponytail swished back and forth behind her head, breathing shallow and in time with her rhythm. She’d decided to differ from her normal running route today, fancying a change for some reason she didn’t know. That’s why when her watch beeped to let her know she’d been going for an hour, she found herself taking her break outside a dance studio that, if she was honest, she didn’t even know existed.
