Grey Goose Guild (FULL)
Carrie K.
Yesterday, one of the world's finest vodka brands, Grey Goose, had their annual Grey Goose Guild at Alkaff Mansion. By far, it was one of the most fun parties I've been to because of the space and mix of people. There's so much space for people to roam about and catch up with friends.

The highlight of the night was the fashion show by Carrie K., Ong Shunmugam and Menswear Menswear. You may think we just saw Ong Shunmugam's collection at Future Fashion Now but just for Grey Goose Guild, the three designers created a collection inspired by Grey Goose.
Carrie K. presented her accessories collection in the most creative and fun fashion I've seen. Her show began with five models in white taking the stage before five models in black came on as old school movie evil forces with skulls, berettes and canes in their hands. Then they paraded round while the music seemed to say that they were fighting and then... I lost it. I liked the whole James Bond-esque theme anyway.

Ong Shunmugam showed her Spring Summer 2013 collection followed by the special one created for Grey Goose. They were all pretty vintage inspired and had the consistent cultural inspiration from headdresses to slim chinese Cheong Sam cuts. Although I've always thought of Ong Shunmugam's cuts are only suitable for the slim, I've grown to like her style more and more over time. Perhaps it's how her collections remind me of the old world glamour of Singapore, when women used to wear Cheong Sams wherever they went.
Menswear Menswear
The last for the night was Menswear Menswear. In fact, this label was launched at Grey Goose Guild! Designed by Zin Cattell, the collection featured coloured shirts with collars of a separate fabrics, tight (very tight) shorts and even a beachwear look! I think the crowd was won over mostly by Zin's enthusiasm when the designers took the stage at the end of the show. Zin was constantly skipping around like he was on cloud nine. Very cute indeed :) Zin was also featured in Urban today and has a bespoke womenswear collection called Womenswear Womenswear (you guessed it!)
Other than the fashion show, there was a photo booth, food and dessert bars, bespoke cocktails and a portrait drawing space! I met my very talented friend, Teresa, there. She was drawing portraits of people for the night but I didn't get the chance to get mine done because she left rather early. And also, I met my friend Sonia at the photo booth! Ah, the event was like a mini secondary school reunion for me.
Thank you Grey Goose for throwing such a great party! It was sooooo much fun.
Grey Goose Guild
Hi guys! Friday is here so you must all be really happy :) I have a test later in the evening so here's a mini post for today!
Yesterday, I was invited to Grey Goose Guild which was amaaaazing! I had so much fun, which I will tell you guys about tomorrow! There was a fashion show featuring Carrie K., Ong Shunmugam and Menswear Menswear. I loved the way the show was carried out and well, who wouldn't love the whole event when there's drinks involved? ;)
I'll post more on the Grey Goose Guild tomorrow. In the mean time, I made new name cards yesterday and... TADAH! Now you know my name and my face ;)
TGIF and wish me all the best for my test!
