Spent the afternoon with my art history prof walking around Happy Valley and a colonial cemetery to learn about the history of Hong Kong 😊 Did you know there was a memorial made for 600+ people who died in a fire at Jockey Club in the early 1900s? Carved a huge A1 plank of wood yesterday and my arms are now aching 😩 But this poster isn't what it seems to be. It's a propaganda poster of LKY done in peranakan colours with Majulah Singapura'. He was a great leader and I admire him but was he an authoritarian?
