✨ Signs ✨
During the weeks/days leading up to emergence the carrier experiences clear behavioural changes as their frame prepares itself for the process.
The most noticeable signs include:
1)Nesting
While nesting is a common practice for flight frames in general (even those who are not carrying), carriers soon-to-be in emergence tend to become very fussy and nit-picky over the state of their nests. They will spend noticeably more time rearranging it and making sure it is perfect than usual, tending to get quite irritated if the nest is not up to their standards.
2)Excessive Recharge
A few days to a week before emergence the carrier will spend drastically more time in recharge. They do this in order to conserve the large amount of energy they will need for this long and exhausting process. During this time they will spend as little time out of recharge as possible.
3)Clinginess
Even though at this stage the carrier spends more time in recharge than awake, they still seek out plenty of attention and affection. The desire for the sires presence is almost constant as at this stage they are at their most vulnerable and crave the feelings of comfort and safety their lovers provide.
✨Carrying Pros & Cons✨
When a carrier is in their mid/late second stage of carrying their systems get put under a lot of stress, often prioritising the forging process and neglecting to regulate the carrier’s systems.
This results in heightened emotions, mood swings, frame aches, increased fatigue, etc etc. During this time the carrier heavily relies on the sire/s when it comes to their emotional and physical needs.
During the carrying process, the sires code/protocols make them extremely protective and attentive to the carriers needs. They often have a general sense of what the carrier needs without the need for words due to their hypersensitive spark-bond.
Overall , during the whole process and especially this stage the carrier and sires are attached at the hip and it’s extremely rare (if at all) to see one without the other.
Carrying for a whole trine is hard work , he just needs a bit of sleep <3
Luckily the trine makes sure he is spoiled rotten and comfy as possible
✨Big Stretchhhhhh✨
When the T-cog locks up and the carrier is unable to transform it’s very common for them to get stiff joints which cause discomfort and if left untreated for long enough, pain.
The simple and most effective solution are daily stretching exercises which make sure that their joints don’t rust and inner workings don’t snag on one another etc.
It is especially important for flight-frames to stretch/exercise their wings due to the locked T-cog making them unable to fly. The wings are both their most sensitive and valuable limbs so it’s important to keep a close eye on those as their high sensitivity makes them very prone to rusting if not exercised.
If a carrier does not have the energy, a good way to stretch/exercise their joints is by simply having the sire/s (or another trusted mech) help them gently run their joints through their range of motion a few times (This is however seen as a very intimate act).
Massaging the plating also helps to alleviate aches and tension in the wires/mechanisms, particularly around the lower spinal struts and hips.
