Mission he’s my fav Megastar fankid 🥺🥺💕 is the perfect combination of his parents. Devious, a Sass Monster, Loyal to a Fault (Megatron’s genes FOR SURE), and will take every opportunity to run his mouth (Starscream’s son, absolutely no doubt about that) what’s not to love????

From the second that Soundwave first saw you, he knew that he had to take care of you. You were a tiny human and he had found you in the middle of the woods. You had gotten lost and had stumbled onto him doing standard perimeter surveillance. He could feel a presence and someone staring at him but he didn’t know that he would see you when he turned around. You were peeking out from behind a tree and just staring up at the giant mech as he sat on the forest floor.

You seemed shy as you ducked back behind the tree and he couldn’t help but smile behind his faceshield. He liked the life here on Earth. He had just gotten to pet a small brown quadrupedal animal and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. He also enjoyed the sunlight streaming through the alien trees and the calming nature of the forest here. He carefully reached his right servo out towards where you hid behind the tree, just like he did with the deer. He wanted to be able to interact with you too.

“Hiding: unnecessary. Flesh sparkling: safe.” He said.

He knew that you wouldn’t understand him. You were a primate and it was unknown whether or not Earthlings were even capable of intelligent communication. He knew that the best way to interact with Earth life was to wait for it to come to him. Sure enough, you peeked out from behind the tree again and looked up at him after a few nanoclicks. He thought that it was adorable that humans were so curious and soft. The flesh on humans reminded him of the squishy forms of young sparklings. He continued smiling and stayed still as he watched your cautious approach. You slowly reached out towards him as well and carefully touched the tip of his digit with your tiny flesh servo.

Soundwave was delighted. He continued to stay still as his engine hummed happily. He was a mech of simple pleasures. He enjoyed nature and the soothing way that Earthlings moved. You were clearly not as advanced as Cybertronian life but something about it was incredibly endearing to him.

“Earthling: will be taken care of.” He stated as he slowly picked you up. He stood up and watched you as you tried to keep your balance. You steadied yourself on his digits as he curled them around you protectively. You didn't seem to like the beeping, whirring, and clicking sound of the Cybertronian language but it was clear that your curiosity was outweighing your caution.

He waited for you to look back up at him before he gently started to pet the top of your helm with a single digit. He was impossibly careful as he started petting and rubbing your back with a second digit. It was clear from the way that you leaned into his touch that you enjoyed the contact. Your cute little snuggles made his spark glow and his engine purr more loudly.

Soundwave decided to take you back to the base with him. Keeping you would be an excellent way to keep up morale within the ranks and he deeply enjoyed your company already. He figured that you wouldn’t mind so he simply began carrying you to your new home.

This has taken me ages but way back in August, @piggyback-of-nutzone made a comment on this post that was about Stormsurge rolling around in the steel pipe nest, making the pipes clatter to the floor. So there we go! Thank you for the inspiration!

Had a brain wave last night to do this trend with these characters, so I’ve been doing that all day

The designs aren’t the best quality, but it wasn’t supposed to be anything that serious (though I think the cleaner lines and colors make it look more polished than I intended), and to be fair, I’ve either barely or never drawn these characters in the TF One style, so I think I can be cut some slack

I really need to find a simpler way to draw TFO characters, this is one of the reasons I don’t like drawing them much, at least in robot form

But anyways, I think this is the first time I’ve drawn Overdrive in well over a year. A bit sad, I’d like to draw him more, but skystar is not as big of a fixation as megop, so you know. I really want to give him a proper redesign though

Also fun fact, this technically isn’t the lore-accurate version of this, since the High Guard were exiled before Skyfire knew he was sparked. The more accurate version would have Overdrive as a young adult, captured by the Decepticons, and Megatron being like “isn’t he your kid??” because he’s the only one who knows about Overdrive, since Skyfire interacted with the miners often. But given the format of the meme, it’d make Overdrive look more like a megastar kid, which he is not. And I don’t have the effort to make that lore accurate version right now
