This past weekend, we drove up to Bakersfield in the rain to shoot photos at #FamosoRaceway's #MarchMeet nostalgia drag racing event. I've always thought these old school funny cars looked cool, but DAYUMM the nitro fuel they use makes your throat hurt and your eyes water when you stand near the cars... and the zoomie exhaust pipes spit flames! 🔥🔥🔥 When the cars launch off the starting line, the displaced air hits you in the chest and the SOUND blows your eardrums out! 😵 Thanks to @clunkbucket for giving me his spare earplugs, and to @motolyric and @thefoat for sorting our media passes.
