@carrisimaavis asked: ❝If you dislike me... Please say so.❞ For Tink.
Tink isn’t sure where this stemmed from. No, that’s a lie, she knows perfectly where this is coming from. All the time and energy she’d spent pushing people away and covering herself in barb wire has finally caught up with the former fairy. There’s so many issues she needed to deal with, how to maintain friendships one of them, and now she is bitterly realizing that her way of dealing with things hasn’t been as effective as she first thought.
Looking at Wendy, her words playing on a loop in her head, the blonde is at a loss for words. How does one respond to that? The easy answer, the one she should give is yes, yes she likes Wendy. But there’s so much to admitting to it. The space seemed to run out of air as an expectant Wendy awaited for her answer. It was unclear what exactly was Tink feeling, or the accuracy but she imagined this is what anxiety felt like. She did not like it.
“I…” Words got stuck at the back of her throat, unsureness settling in her chest. There was something about bearing her feelings that scared Tink more than any creature she has hunted in the eeriness of the night.
The blonde cleared her throat.
“Don’t know where you are getting this from, but no, I don’t dislike you.” You’re probably my only friend actually… but those words remained unsaid, tucked away in the deepest part of her heart. Feelings had been the culprit of all of her misfortunes. From meeting Regina and losing her wings, to her years of torture in Neverland. She still has nightmares about it. So if she has to pretend to be coldhearted in order to protect herself from getting hurt could you blame her? Now that she is an actual human she can understand the struggles of having emotions. As a fairy she was predisposed to be happy and peppy but after learning about falling from grace, it was hard to emulate being like she used to be.
