Yesterday we visited 3 vineyards, and today we did 2. First up was @earlymountain in Madison, VA which had some lovely, delicate merlot-based wines with a lively backdrop of music, food and families. Next was the coveted @barboursville in Barboursville, VA - the former estates of Governor Barbour and Thomas Jefferson, these winemakers have been in the business for several decades. We made it just before the tasting room closed and sipped on the most perfect Barbera and Viognier just before the storm rolled in. #carryoneats #carryondc #jarrytype #mdw (at Early Mountain Vineyards)
