the closer her due date got, the less prepared for it mina felt. she was stressed.  at thirty two weeks in her pregnancy, not only did she feel and look huge, but there was just so much to do and so many things to buy. it didn’t help that she was completely against the idea of a baby shower. luckily her family had been super helpful. her brother passed down some of his old baby things and her parents helped where they could. “why are little humans so fucking expensive?” the brunette said as she looked at the prices the items on the baby aisle.

“Well don’t you look handsome. Your girl lets you out lookin’ like that?” Mina chuckled lightly as she approached Carter and gave him a hug. Mina had been feeling down lately, but nothing lifted her spirits more than a good party and hanging out with her close friends. This Christmas party came at the perfect time. She wasn’t even thinking about the chances of her running into Benji. All she wanted to do was have a good time and hopefully avoid him all night. “Where is she anyways? I’m assuming y’all came together, right?”

“I am so glad this semester is over. You have no idea how stressed I’ve been.” Mina said as she made herself some tea in his keurig. This past semester she forced it by taking six classes and while she was nowhere near worried about her grades, it was definitely a lot more work to do. The brunette had underestimated the upper level classes and the amount of homework the professors loved to give. “We need to find a way for me to celebrate considering that I can’t drink anymore. But like what the fuck is even there to do?” she said, chuckling lightly as she picked up the mug once it was finished brewing.

“Hi you!” Mina smiled when she saw Carter walk in. Once she stopped being out as much, due to her pregnancy, she started seeing less of him. Less of everyone really since she couldn’t really part-take in any of her usual fun activities. These past few months her life was mainly home, work and school. “You know, I’m starting to think you only liked me when I was hot and drunk. How’ve you been?” she joked, chuckling lightly as she got up to greet him with a hug.
