Does anyone else get like inflamed bumps around their cartilage piercings

I have bumps on the front and back of mine, almost like the earrings are becoming needed in the skin?? It's gross and uncomfortable and I feel like I'm gonna have like these gaping holes in my ear where the earrings like get totally embedded so I have to take them out? Idk is that like a normal thing? I used to have it on the back of one of them but when I got the second one done they said that happens when they use a piercing gun instead of just a needle, so my second one shouldn't get any bumps around it. It didn't until pretty recently like I just noticed today that they both have it AND they have bumps in the front too....idk like nothing's coming out of them like they're infected or something and it's not painful so? Is this a normal thing? Should I take the earrings out for a little while?
