Trying my hand at physical media for this round!! I'm definitely still learning how to use the crayons and backgrounds are not my strong suit at all, but we're getting there!
Original by Jerky under the cut:
My family is making fun of me for helping a hurt carvanha :(((((( I saw it on the beach and I spent money on a potion from the store and I sprayed it and I sat with him and covered him with water until he managed to get up and swim away. but my little cousins are upset I spent money on helping “a gross fish” instead of getting them snacks (we have some AT THE HOUSE!!!?!!) and now they are complaining to my aunt and mom and want me to apologize. But I shouldn’t need to right??? Helping a pokemon is more important than starter pokemon gummies!!!
it was very kind of you to try and help that pokemon, and i'm sorry your family was unkind to you about it. unfortunately, some pokemon get a reputation of being "ugly" or "too scary" and aren't treated well as a result. as for the money, if it was yours to spend, then you shouldn't have to apologize. however, if you used your family's money without asking first, you should apologize for that.
in the future, please call a ranger to help out with situations like this! all public beaches have a dedicated ranger service because situations with pokemon can get dangerous fast out in open waters, so even if you can't call with a phone, you can find their service building.
thankfully, the carvanha you found was alone. when they're by themselves, they're more likely to try and escape. but if there were other carvanha around, or if the carvanha had felt it needed to defend itself instead of trying to flee, you could have gotten really hurt. their teeth are strong enough to bite through the hulls of wooden boats, after all! it's much more important that you stay safe than anything else. helping pokemon is our job as rangers, so we would make sure to take good care of it, and we can even give pokemon long-term care if they need it!
