I didn't want to do stats based goals and accomplishments because it's too easy to compare those and think of myself as lesser even when I have made good progress and want to make more in the future. I'm incredibly proud and shocked by some stats based accomplishments, but that's not what I fundamentally write for, so I want to focus more on my skill and enjoyment than things that can so easily stress me out.
I found it shockingly hard to come up with accomplishments and much easier to come up with goals. 2018 was a fun year for writing, definitely, but near the end, also a really hard one. I had a lot of periods of disliking things I'd wrote or getting writers block, and once I was working myself back up to excitement, school came and stifled my creativity in a semester of stress as I worked on my senior project. Still, I worked hard in 2018 to be the best writer I can and to improve myself in every way possible. Fandom events like bangs and exchanges and zines really helped me out with this, encouraging me to branch out or meet certain parameters or prompts.
2019 starts with one more stressful semester and another senior project, but I think this one will be easier. If not, there's over half the year after the semester is over. While my overall goals for the year include a lot of settling into work, I want to improve my writing. I've recently gotten scrivener and some books to help me work on stuff I feel I'm not as strong with (plot, especially in the middle of things, has always been a weakness). I also want to continue to branch out in fandom and in what I write about, and I want to try to finish some of what I've started.
Thank you so much for your support throughout 2018, and I hope that 2019 is just as good and better. I've loved all of your feedback and excitement this year, and I'm looking forward to providing more stories in 2019! Happy New Year 💖
characters with wings are underappreciated:
their wings are soft. good for cuddling.
you like soft domesticity? try having one character groom another character’s wings. adorable.
big long wings dragging behind the character to be the proper wingspan for them. dragging on the ground, brushing against their ankles
flying ???? holding each other while flying ????
gifting people their feathers. very cute.
wing umbrella.
hiding people from people they don’t like by just putting a wing up
displaying their feathers like a peacock
arms for hugging, wings for extra protection
threatening people by unfurling these big ass wings ???
you ever just. forget how to write.
I forgot to post this yesterday but my family was playing What Do You Meme last night and I got 2 cards that were basically just the plot of a fic.
writing is too hard i choose just thinking about the things i want to write and pretending like they already exist instead.
I wanna write but I'm so fucking tired
Every time I see a new user subscriber, I'm so shook. You??? want to read more of me??? Even though you honestly have no idea what I'm writing next??? Thank you???
