Accomplishment

The feeling of joy After accomplishing something great Is the best feeling.

And nothing can top it, not until you feel it again.

But in that moment, That minuscule moment, For you, and only you, there is pride.

You can say, Hey. I did something.

It gives you redemption And everything you’ve felt, all the struggle you’ve taken Feels so, so worth it.

The moments come few, And too far in between, But for the moment that it is extraordinary, Everything else seems to be ephemeral.

the act of force

Why do you force me? I don't want to, but you make me.

I don't want to go. I don't want to feel. I don't want to see.

I don't believe.

You think you can make me, you think if you push hard enough, I will see what you see. I won't.

You pushing Makes me Push back. Harder. And harder, And harder and harder, until I have broken you and you have broken me.

Please don't make me. Please stop.
