–––––––––– His head hurt.
Why did his head hurt so bad?
Chip lifts a paw up to his only to feel something wet and tacky on his fingers, pulling the hand back down to see the splashes of red stuck to the fur on his paws. It probably wasn’t good that he didn’t remember how this happened.
He looks around, but his vision is blurry and the room around him is dark. He blinks a few times to try and clear his vision and he can see enough to know that there is debris and rubble all around him. He tries to move, to get up and get somewhere, but trying to move only makes him dizzy and stirs up pain he hadn’t originally noticed in his ankle. Oh gosh, what had he gotten himself into?
“ D-Dale? ” He calls out, hearing panic in his own voice that he’s not accustomed to. But he calls out for Dale, because he had to be there. Dale was always there when he needed him.

their ambition.
“Mmh, well, I ain’t tha’ most ambitious person out there.” He admits with a shrug. “I’ve got tons of ambitions, sure! I definitely want ta’ get out there, explore more of tha’ world. Maybe find tha’ best cheese out there!” Monterey laughed, puffing up his coat collar.
“But wot I think really drives me is tha’ desire ta’ protect me ki - a - friends! I can’t stop bad things from ‘appenin’ ta’ them, because wot would life be wi’out a little excitement? But I can help ‘em through it, that’s for sure!”
You sounded like you could use some encouragement, Dragon! Things're hard, and it's easy to feel lost and uncertain. It's good to cherish the friendships that persist with folks who understand how your own pace of writing works and that motivation can be flighty in the trying times. Folks who're on your side and they know you're on theirs even when the threads aren't flowing, yanno? Plus your prose is worth the wait! -chef's kiss- You have a sympathetic, bubbly, kind soul and we love you Dragon!

(*takes a deep breath* ... *proceeds to lie down and mcsob* I didn’t expect a message like this and even now my brain is still trying to wrap around it, despite having read it several times, because you are so frick frackin’ nice. Honestly, you always seem to have a kind word and a wonderful attitude and are there for people when they need it. It’s inspiring to see the effect your words and actions have on others, and I really hope that you are having a great day! You are an amazing person and this message mean so much to me *hugs*)
(Not to mention, as someone who hella admires your writing and the amount of heart that goes into your portrayals, I am bursting with happiness at hearing that you enjoy what I’m yeeting out too. JKSDFNFJKDSNFDS - I literally can’t stop smiling and there’s a warm feeling in my chest because of this, and I am sorry if that sounds sappy but I am full of Feelings.)
@casesforchipmunks said: ❝ Excuse me! Where…are we? ❞ Between sentences, Chip's eyes darted to several points in the scenery before returning to Mrs. Brisby, who he'd then asked the question of.
🌿 - ❝ Little bit to the south, you’d have made it a crashing to the pond - you were in luck. ❞ She was still weary, gasping her breath in between phrases. Had she ever ran the distance as fast as she did after something fast? More surprised she was, to discover a chipmunk in a hat approaching her. Mrs. Brisby studies the stranger, the outfit for the most part. Never ever she had seen a chipmunk dressed like that - let alone arrive so fast to the scene. Perking her ears towards the question, she clears her throat.
❝ You’re close to Fitzgibbon’s farm - you can even see it from the hill top... ❞ she points. ❝ Unless you’re in search of something else- ❞

"Are you a princess?" (Dale @ Magica)
Was this some sort of insult? A princess, indeed! This squishy couldn’t properly see what was right in front of him. However... A princess was a far sight better than anything else she’d had the pleasure of being called. Perhaps there was potential here.
“No, no no! I’m better than that. I am a Queen. What do you think of me now, small thing? Do I fill you with awe and terror? Do tell.”

Charlie hadn’t ever worked with a lot of different animals in the past. It had mainly been working with other dogs, as that was what he found usually in Heaven as a Guardian Angel and all. He rarely was ever finding himself with other animals to assist them with situations, but that always seemed to be a day by day basis and was never something that was entirely certain at what could happen.
Today seemed to be like one of those days, especially with where he was. Being that he was in more of a forest setting, he wasn’t expecting much. What he had been told was that he was actually assisting some chipmunks with some big mission of theirs. He didn’t know what the mission was at all, but he knew he’d find out once he actually showed up. He just trekked through the forest, trying to find them for now. I mean, this being said, it probably wouldn’t be too hard to find them, right?
Especially not when he could see what seemed to be a giant... Treehouse? In the distance. He walked towards it, looking around and up towards the top and cleared his throat a bit. He didn’t know if anyone was even here, or if it had even been inhabited in the first place. Only one way to find out really.
❝Hello? Anyone up there? I’m here about a case with some chipmunks.❞ he called up the tree and perked his ears to see if there was any response. Honestly, he wasn’t really expecting any, but things could always be much weirder with how it played out. Chances are, they probably were up there. Maybe hiding away from him, due to the fact he was a dog and all.
He’d just have to wait a bit and see who came down and what came of it.
