Falling into/doing something that doesn't make me happy but pleases everyone else.

High open spaces where there's no barriers/limited barriers to prevent you from falling. (Ex. Effel Tower staircases and Florentine Duomo's narrow stairways and the occasional view down into the church from high up.)

Being betrayed by a friend who was really using me for their own selfish purposes.

Reason you joined tumblr?

Livejournal was dead and I wanted to find an outlet for me to post confessions about some of the individuals I've encountered in my life without tying a name or physical appearance to the individual. Mainly these are positive things about people that I'd love to tell them but either the moment isn't right or it would sound really cheesy if said out loud. Other confessions are open-ended views on some of the individuals that  I wouldn't call a friend yet it's not a full-fledged criticism of them – I'll try to find at least one good reason why I encountered the said person in my life before admitting why I couldn't call them a friend or close confidant.

Thoughts on rubber ducks? yes im dead serious :)

All I can think about with this question is the fact that I had a classmate from an Advanced Placement (College level) course in high school who collected rubber ducks and he'd dismantle them to add laser pointers or strobe lights in them as a hobby. I never saw any of the finished pieces but granted, they sounded awesome.

Foxface, and Enobaria? This is for your character traits thing.

Foxface

Mysterious – In both the book and the film, she never let anyone get too close to figure her out. The air of mystery kept her alive long enough to evade a majority of the Career pack as she never left a big impression on anyone.

Skittish – In the film, she seemed very twitchy and wide eyed for a girl who was able to outsmart people. I mainly associate her with that trait because of the scene where she runs head-on into Katniss and looks fearfully at her before darting away.

Observant – She found plenty of things to use in the rubble of the Career heap that was blown up.

Greedy – Mainly this pertains to food. Her biggest problem was having enough food to keep her alive in the games. We’re guessing that her bag from the feast contained some form of food but clearly it wasn’t enough to sustain her for very long. Hence, she followed Peeta and Katniss who were smart enough to scrounge up their own food through means of hunting and sponsor gifts.

Puzzling – This refers to her means of death. While the book implies that she clearly wasn’t interested in killing other tributes or had very little to offer in terms of skill with weapons, the film showed her matching plants on the testing device in the training studio. I’m confused as to why she would take berries that were poisonous if the matching device told her what was safe to eat in the first place. The only other thing I could think about was perhaps that she realized that death was her only option, as her district partner was long gone and she wouldn’t qualify for the win like Katniss and Peeta would.

Proud – This trait comes from the fact that when the Careers went off after losing their supplies and she returned to the area, laughing at their stupidity for not scrounging through all of the supplies for things that were salvageable.

Quick – She was able to move quickly through the mine trap that the supplies were in and was able to leave the Cornucopia before everyone else.

Enobaria

Flashy – This is because of her teeth, which she took pride in. She seemed to flash them whenever she got a chance in the film.

Calculating – While the books discussed that she had no shortage of admirers in the Capitol and was likely not tortured because she was assumed to be on their side, her last line of “Let them have a taste of their own medicine” made me think that she had been contemplating revenge for a while.

Quiet – She has very few lines in the book and I don’t believe she spoke more than a few times in the film. She seemed to let her expressions do the talking.

Caring – This one is based on some scenes in the film. One would be the fact that she smiled at Wiress with the whole clapping for Katniss after the archery simulation in the training center. She seemed amused by Wiress and seemed to share some kind of sentiment about her fellow Victor making such a big deal out of one person’s results. Also, she took up Woof’s hand on stage during the interviews instead of hesitating like the other Careers.

Deceptive – She changed her physical appearance for the Capitol and maintained the illusion that she was bloodthirsty and eager to fight all the time to fool the Capitol. Yet she joined the rebels when they came to District 2 and voiced her true feelings when they discussed the future of the Hunger Games.

Lonely – Even though she teamed up with Brutus from her district for the games, part of me wondered if she was actually lonely. No one really wanted to approach her because of the teeth and her violent behavior and the only person that ever spent time with her was Brutus. No one else seemed to consider her a friend. I noticed that even the training center staff member seemed terrified of her when she practiced with a sword.

Appreciative – This one comes from the fact that Katniss enters her name in the bargain with Coin. When they are reunited, she smiles despite the fact that Johanna is less than pleased to see her in the same room. While Katniss never saw eye to eye with her, I sensed that Enobaria was probably grateful that Katniss decided to spare her during the rebellion.

Disillusioned – Like many of the Careers, she likely volunteered thinking that the games were a great thing, as that’s likely what her district wanted her to believe. Her line in Mockingjay seems to imply that the games destroyed her view of things but since she was from a district that was known for producing proud winners who fought to the death for a good show, she was forced to buy into the lie that she was grateful for everything that came with the win.
