I... I’m ashamed to admit I started watching Supernatural because of Superwholock (it still dominated tumblr at the time, as it was 2012) �� and because I kept seeing destiel gif sets and was waaaay too curious about the ship

aha same i watched sherlock but never really got super into it (i watched each episode only once and never followed sherlock-specific blogs), i tried doctor who but i just couldn’t go past two or three episodes lol. but honestly i probably have consumed, like, 87% of doctor who through existing on tumblr during those years ahaha

True, of all the current writers, they’re the most likely to write sexual assault. From those 20 seconds, it seems like they’re more interested in using him as a trained monkey. But after rewatching spn with a focus on sexual violence, all love spell tropes give me a knee-jerk reaction of “don’t even think about it!”

I am hosting a premiere party! So far @amwritingmeta @margarittet @bluestar86 are coming round and tentatively @super-sootica is invited but a long way away and @elizabethrobertajones probably won't make it either so we are meeting up this weekend instead :)

This is super exciting for me as this time last year is when I was in the depths of my depression that had taken hold, I had just binge watched all 11 seasons of Supernatural and it genuinely helped me extract myself from the depression, I was on the way up but still working on it, then I found tumblr and you guys have made the journey so much better :)

So having these wonderful people around IRL and you guys on tumblr is just such a positive and affirming thing for me and I really am so thankful!

So yes on Friday before we all watch it together in the evening I won’t be online, I’m gonna have to hold back! I expect I don't know how many asks in my inbox and I’m so looking forward to them and all the flailing but I will have to restrain myself until we’ve watched it!

I’m imagining that we will watch it with a lot of wine (and I’m making a Supernatural spread of course, I love hosting and cooking), we will flail, flail some more then all come online for a bit!
