(Pokes my head in) Heyo. I know it’s been a while and this blog has been…basically dead, but I was struck with an impulse last night to dust it off since I know people use it as an archive for Lisa art. I’ve had my creative focuses in other stuff right now so don’t expect much fanart from my end, but with Definitive Edition’s release I’m sure there’s a lot of cool stuff to catch up on!

So yeah—I’ve been going through the tags and filling up a queue, it’ll be posting once daily for as long as I’m able to keep it topped up. Peace 💚🦐

Since it’s on the mind. Haruna Dogsred huh. The more I think about the Situation the more my heart absolutely hurts for her. Her mom was working herself to the bone to support both her and her brother’s figure skating, and when that strain came to a head, the family had to make a decision of who would go the farthest, Haruna just. Didn’t make the cut. As horrible as her mom and Rou felt about it, I’m sure in Haruna’s eyes the fact of the matter is that she was deemed not worth the effort. Getting reduced to a bystander in her own family’s lives, because even going near a rink is too painful of a reminder of what she gave up.

With all that in mind there is something so cruel about the car crash likely being caused by Akiko falling asleep at the wheel. Haruna gave up her greatest passion to try and lift that burden from her mother and the exhaustion killed her anyway. We know Rou was in the passenger seat, was Haruna in the car too? Did she even get to say goodbye? She’s 15. Forget sponsors, forget championships and the Olympics, she just wanted to skate with her mom, man.

Also appreciation for these pages because god. It hurts to live.

Many thoughts about Sunchasers lately, lemme ramble here(spoilers ahead!)

It’s funny, initially I wasn’t expecting myself to get too invested! But, I’ve ended up really enjoying the unexpected depth it has, particularly by the simple fact that Kuafu knew of Tianhuo’s origin and kept him in the dark like all the rest. Even in some alternate scenario where Yi wasn’t killed for his rebellion, that fact still remains. Throughout the whole game though, that betrayal is only skirted around, never spoken about directly, and I think there’s some really interesting internal conflict regarding each other as a result.

For Yi, it’s like: I wish you could’ve had a spine for once. I never expected you to. My world was falling apart and though I’d never say it I needed just one person to stand by my side. I know you wouldn’t and it’s best you didn’t. I’m glad you’re here now.

Then on Kuafu’s end it: I wish you weren’t so unyielding, maybe together we could’ve found another way. I wish I could have even a fraction of your resolve. I don’t think this is the right thing to do. I’ll do anything for you anyway. I’m glad you’re here now.

There’s a few moments where they get close to getting into all that: that conversation when they first reunite, the one about Yi’s mission following the Jiequan Situation, but there’s just…more important things at stake. There’s this quiet tragedy to it especially when you throw some past mutual pining into the mix, seeing this distance even as they try to imitate their past dynamic. Not exactly going through the motions, there’s still very much genuine care there, but in the end Yi’s focus is still his mission and Kuafu has too much guilt. There’s too much baggage to amount to any sort of catharsis between them.

Tldr: ACID BATH! ACID BATH!!!!

Many wins happening this year of new job + moving out of parents house last week + moving partner in this weekend but also. Man the fact I haven't drawn anything new in more than a month is kind of making me feel like a moldy strawberry.
