The atmosphere surrounding them both was tight with tension and misunderstanding, not that either of them knew what they were doing to the other. Fools, both of them, incapable of expressing their feelings for whatever reason. “Yeah, I was. Not as far gone as some other people but drunk enough to misinterpret situations and wake up with a killer headache the next day.” She didn’t know what to do to fix this. “Woah woah, you’re blushing, that means you know something. Is it about you? Is it about me? Come on, you have to tell me now and I won’t say another word until you do.”
This was it. She was either going to lie, or tell the truth and let the awkwardness continue to wash over the both of them. “Well. . . Ben. . . Bennett said she saw the two of us kissing.” Why not let it out? If it truly was nothing that memorable, then it wouldn’t matter that they both know it happened. If it truly was nothing that memorable, then why should it matter that Cass know that Olivia knew. “I. . . Don’t remember it, because I was smashed, but I guess you already knew that.”
