a/n: unimportant but the pic is a wink to my “theme”, probably ooc?… and this is definitely messy because it’s my first fic and I’m writing this early in the morning bc I can’t sleep

He had never truly relaxed. Even in Ferrix, with his friends and Maarva, he always needed to be careful and look over his shoulders sometimes. All due to his line of work. And maybe if he’d switched lines of work he’d be able to relax. Unless, of course, he joined the rebellion and its efforts to release the galaxy from the clutches of the oppressive empire, which he did. So, the meticulous carefulness and planning only intensified.
Yet, here, with the first hints of sunlight sneaking in through the large windows and your bare body tucked safely beneath his arm and against his side, he found himself as relaxed as he had been in the longest time. Truly, not like those brief moments of being able to breathe between missions.
Cassian also found himself as relaxed appreciating it. You, more accurately. The shared history between you two, in between missions and hushed conversations about the rebellion and more, had definitely made this easier. Maybe he didn’t get closer to you entirely out of his own heart’s whims, maybe it started out over shared drives or having something that wasn’t war and secrets and lies. He had never been one for serious relationships. Maybe he had found something else with you that he hadn’t expected. But surely this would end, and the war you two were participating in would pull your paths apart, obliterating either or both.
The thought made Cassian’s stomach shifts uncomfortably and a small shadow cross his face.
But before he could dwell much on it, he felt you shift, and he saw your eyes flutter open. They immediately fell on his face, though struggled a few seconds before completely focusing. Then your lips curled up into a small, sleepy smile.
“Morning,” you, still ridden with sleep, said.
“Morning,” Cassian answered with a similar curl to his lips.
And maybe, at least this moment, he could relax and pretend he’d have this forever.
I'm always thinking about Andor and I'm always thinking about MUNA so naturally I was thinking about what MUNA songs best represent Bix/Cassian/Jyn and here's what I came up with:
Jyn is singing "Taken" to Cassian because she's like why am I falling in love with a married man? Also daddy issues.
Meanwhile Cassian is singing "Shooting Star" to Jyn because falling in love with someone this fast surely won't end well, there's no way she likes him back. And also her nickname is Stardust.
Bix is singing "Buzzkiller" to Cassian because of the PTSD and the depression and the leaving so he can move on. (She was a "Handle Me" girlie at the safe house, but things have changed since then).
But Cassian is singing "Home By Now" to Bix because he is most definitely not over her and he's thinking about all the what ifs.
And then Bix is singing "Mary Jane" to Jyn becuase she can already tell that Jyn is in love with Cassian and she's realizing she's jealous of both of them.
But little does she know that the moment Jyn met Bix, Jyn started singing "No Idea" and "Solid" to her because who is this incredible woman? I need to fuck her immediately.
And they're all singing "I Know A Place" and "Big Stick" together because revolution.
