Thank you so much for your answer! I love how much thought and detail you put into everything and that you gave me a little glimpse into your world. You're absolutely right about that love declaration, it wouldn't have felt so 'Eliot' if he had told Quentin in any other way. I feel like he can casually tell Quentin the sweetest and most meanisful things as long as it's on his own terms - but if you ever tried to back him into a corner he'd close up like a clam especially when his heart is involved. He's had so much time to perfect his armour that I wondered if anyone else besides Quentin and Margo can even hurt him at all - or if it could only happen indirectly through hurting Quentin or Margo instead. Another question I have is if there is anything that Eliot does NOT like about Quentin. He treats him so lovely that I wondered if there is something that would make him irritated. I'm sorry if I'm asking too much, I'm just so curious about this universe that I can't get enough of it XD

Gonna go ahead and answer this one here since I don't think it's too spoilery. ;)

I think other people can and absolutely have hurt Eliot in the past (esp if we're talking about his family and his old life back in Indiana) but Quentin and Margo are the only two people who are capable of breaking his heart. And I think it goes both ways for him??? Like he absolutely does a lot of damage to himself when he (directly or indirectly) does things to hurt them, but they both hold the power to do a lot of damage themselves through their actions towards him.

And... god. Your last question is such an excellent one!!! I will answer this from experience and say that when you're in a longterm relationship and living with your partner, eventually they are going to do things that get on your nerves lmao. It's just a part of being with someone for a really long time. But I don't really think they've had the chance to get there yet??? They've known one another for ~6 years in this 'verse, but it wasn't until their senior year of college that they became anything more than casual acquaintances, and the semester and a half they spent hooking up before it all fell apart was such a hazy, dreamlike time for both of them that nothing else really had the chance to make it through.

Where they're at right now really is a brand new start. They've been back together for like a week and a half and have spent almost every second of their alone time fucking or cuddling or making out or just in general being grossly in love saps DEEP in their honeymoon phase. I think, like... years down the road ??? After they've graduated and are living together on their own and the immediacy of that lovesick haze has had a chance to fall away a little, there will be things that come up. They'll bicker and get on each other's nerves and clash about the pettiest stuff. But if you were to step into the fic right now and ask Eliot if there's anything about Quentin that irritates him? He'd probably just say, like... it's irritating that Quentin isn't kissing him at this very moment lmao. <3
