I don't understand something in the 100 and was wondering if you knew. Do you know how exactly the black blood trait gets passed on. Like does it pass through genetics, or is it some sort of genetic mutation that just kind of happens, or is there some other sort of way? Because in the first way, most of the people with the black blood would be Lexa's kids, but in the other way, there could still be more people with the black blood that we don't know about. I hope you know more than i do.

Hey! :D so okay I believe it is a highly recessive genetic trait/mutation. Meaning that only grounders can have black blood but it only shows up in some rare cases such as Lexa and Aden. I think if plot holes don’t completely ruin this then it would be sort of like having a third nipple, in the sense that it is entirely possible for any human to have a third nipple but only a rare handful of the population do. I believe the trait was only created when the radiation took effect and began messing with the grounders, which is why Clarke and the others can’t have black blood. I don’t think it is a hereditary genetic trait so if Lexa were to have children I don’t think her children would have the black blood too. This is how I have interpreted it though so I could definitely be wrong, but I hope this helps nonetheless ~R
