IKEA Castle bed transformation Part 1:

Start with some random IKEA furniture: Kura bed, Trofast storage, two Billy bookcases with doors, and a 2x4 kallax (not pictured).

Cut three 4x8 sheets of 3/4” plywood into approximately 1 billion tiny pieces. Learn how irritating it is to cut angles for joints and decorative trim.

Sand everything forever until your fingerprints are basically non longer existent. Prime. Sand again. Paint. Sand again. Cry. Paint a stone finish effect on every piece for a 3 year old who will definitely not appreciate any of it.

Add trim and decorations because ✨perfectionism✨

So I saw this on Amazon the other day and like, it’s gone now, but I needed to share how cool this is. It’s a queen sized bed with a slide, a little closet, stairs with drawers, a book shelf and a table. On top of all of that, it’s castle themed and it’s just fantastic. It was about 4,000 dollars which is way more than I can afford to spend on anything but like... it’s so cool! I will say, I would change the chair fabric covers though, those stripes look atrocious with the rest of the bed. I hope it comes back some day when I can afford it or that I can re-create it some day because honestly this is my dream bed.

I’ve seen other beds that are like, beds on the top and something else on the bottom, I’ve seen princess/castle themed beds (some even with slides) but this is the only one I’ve seen that’s both. I could literally see myself spending most of my free time in this space.
