You know, at least twice in Castlevania Netflix I have been like "haha I'm going to have to write a fanfic about this :-)" and then those characters have sex. In the show. Not just eventually but right then immediately.

I'm about to start writing Alucard/Maria fanfic out of spite
Like, I *get* that you don't want it to happen right now in the show because she's 14 and it makes it slightly weirder because they'll meet when she's a teenager. And I definitely don't think you have to hold the games canon as sacred. (And it's only canon and only vaguely in one ending anyway)
HOWEVER.
It's a ship I always liked, in part because SHE definitely pursues HIM without that being treated as funny or pathetic. And they're both so pretty. Any relationship with a vampire is going to have weird age gaps. I don't want my boy to be alone literally forever.
(I had to look up Maria's age in SotN. It's 17. But enh. Meh. I always interpreted her as early 20s.)
And COME ON. You are 14 and after the most harrowing moments of your life so far beautiful vampire man saves the lives of you and all your friends. TELL ME that he is not your first love. Tell me that developing a devastating crush on Alucard is not the most relatable thing she could do.
I think he's either oblivious, pretends to be oblivious, or very gently tries to shut her down like "listen kid, talk to me in like 10 years if you still feel this way" but if she doesn't have the most monstrous, embarrassing, walking-into-walls crush on him I'm going to be disappointed.
There are several missed opportunities in Netflixvania, but the one that is currently troubling me is that Isaac and Alucard never interacted. What with Isaac's "Alucard is a spoiled child" comment, I imagine that, just, everything about Alucard infuriates him for reasons that he wouldn't say are jealousy but are mostly jealousy.
