his new home is more extravagant than the old, and certainly newer without sentimental attachments to history. a king in his castle, no longer needing his brother’s help or approval. elijah has built himself a little empire in new york city, vampires under his compulsion, witches clamoring for the approval of someone who could procure rare magical items. even the wolves stayed out of his way. without the burden of emotions, he now found ruling to be a simple task. his younger brother would NOT convince him to leave it.
