[fyslo-region-logs]

Welcome to the Fyslo region. It's not really based on anything in particular and will likely pull inspiration from many different places into one big melting pot of a region. I will be sort of framing this as almost a pokemon unreality. You'll see various pokemon new and old. Unfortunately I am not a good artist so any fakemon will be text descriptions. Submissions for fakemon will be accepted but not all may be used. Please feel free to draw any fakemon described in these logs/short stories/diary entrys/pokedex entries. I would love to see how any of them turn out.

You'll be following the perspective of multiple different characters through their daily lives. (They will be posted as I get them fleshed out along with their teams)

As a final note there will be Fakemon I will mention from both Subjectively's Mazah Region and Lockstin and Gnoggin's Kaskade Region. I will not claim that mon from either series or any official pokemon are mine. This is just something I'm doing for fun. Links to the playlist for both series are below.

I hope you all enjoy it. This is very much something I started on a whim but I think it'll be super fun.

alright so here’s some layout work.

most of the game takes place on an alien spaceship so here’s a general layout for rooms so far

pinks are elevators and on the 2nd floor there’s a lot of like twisty hallways and the orange ones are just rooms //might throw a few more rooms in there//

as for actual room design i have one room half decided

i dont know if I need to fill more floorspace but I am deciding between doing the backgrounds just drawing them or trying to 3d model them

so that’s todays update, working on location

so lets have an update on that game that i dropped the thought of yesterday

i was going to wait until i drew something on the computer but then i forgot my tablet pen at home so you’re going to get SKETCHBOOK PICTURES

so far I’ve been working on story and characters

we’ve got some alien species here, what are they doing? you wont know until i decide if i can tell without spoilering the whole story >:333

We’re going to have player character that you get to name and everything //just ignore that side box hiding spoilers//

and of course we got Jack

//and septiceye sam but you know when i made a shimeji of him i got enough practice drawing//

I will probably hide some secret codes in future posts about the game for unlockables or something to change the story //maybe add other youtubers or something I haven’t figured out much for that one//

rso for the player’s emotions I’ve been playing with what I need minimum for the demo so far we have two outfits, everyday and work. 

as for emotions i’m deciding them as situations arise in the writing so far we have

i’m just putting up a tumblr list for mostly myself but hey for my one follower so far or whoever stumbles upon this you can speculate on what the hell happens in a dating sim for these to happen lol.

okay so for the format of the game demo it’s going to be a lot of uncustomized buttons for the first draft

like what will be there definitely is written story, and character images. Thats going to be fully made

but for the sake of deadline until I have all of that completely working backgrounds will be temporary images of what i’m basing off of, buttons for things like saving will be things I already have //if you see a blues clues that’s a button because that’s in my program for **shifty eyes** reasons//

also sound won’t be a thing yet that’s probably going to be the last thing i get to since I am not a sound person so I don’t know if i’m going royalty free or if I’m going to mess with some random program I find

alright so i have a progress report for this thing

i have a writeup for the demo sitting in a google doc

and christmas break is going to happen so who knows maybe i can get the demo up for the new year

yeah lets set a goal, demo for new years woooo

so my plan is i’m going to make a little preview thing just to get it started

there’s going to be like three or so routes in this demo and  it’ll just be a general idea of whats going on without the main story getting in there

I feel like I'd get more work done if i had someone to bounce ideas off of. Mostly for characters i don't know as well so for help working on their paths.
