ok yeah im on hybrid au brainrot so heres my au of an au

what if right before sapnap stepped in to save dream from ant and george toying with him, dream escaped? like when george was about to dangle dream over his mouth, dream bit georges hand to get him to drop him in a last ditch escape attempt and since that would be quite the fall for the tiny, he manages to mess up his leg really bad but is still trying to run thinking his life is in danger? so now, ant, george, and sap are panicking because they didnt want to actually hurt him and they have to find him again except now hes pretty badly injured and doing a lot more reckless stunts believing it to be a life or death sprint for his life.

imagine if you will: all of the giants are trying to find his tracks as its going to get dark soon and the darkness brings along with it freezing temperatures, just yet another danger for the poor tiny as dream is trying to ignore the pain in his leg, sprinting as fast as he can, the entire time cursing himself for letting his guard down and allowing himself to get into such a terrifying and life threatening predicament.

(also feel free to ignore this, im sick and feverish off my ass rn and im not even sure if this is coherent lol)

Dream's leg would have to give out eventually, and he's probably smart enough to know this so he would assume he needs to hide- luckily he finds what seems like an abandoned burrow to hide inside of, small enough that the hunters chasing him won't be able to fit inside.

Later, (imma assume Sap George and Ant all talked and understand they all care about Dream at this point) when the three preditors finally find where Dream's scent leads- they find an abandoned burrow, but no Dream hiding inside like the smell would hint... But there is a second smell, the smell of another predator nearby.... One who's smaller then the three and is hiding, waiting for them to leave so they can eat Dream

It takes only five minutes for this predator to be found and for Dream to he saved

Dream was a little mouse that ended up first in George's territory and started to be hunted down by the cat constantly, then one day they both ended up in Sapnap's territory so now 2 preditors were hunting him down, then eventually they were in Ant's territory and made it three. Of course, Dream is too smart, and always outsmarts all the bigger hybrids and escapes. The 3 train and plan plan, but they can never seem to catch the tiny mouse that originally they wanted as a snack, but now just want to catch him to prove that they can-

Slowly, through the daily bantar, they each begin to become attatched to the tiny mouse and wanted to call him a friend, but it's not like they'll admit it, that's just embarrassing- and if they do each individually meet Dream at times alone and bond, they don't have to tell the others about that.

It isn't until one day they FINALLY catch him (through Ant and a perfectly placed bottle trap) that they figure what's been going on. Non of them want to actually hurt Dream anymore, but they also don't want the other preditors to eat him- so George and Ant "play with their food", as to not raise suspicion and to keep Dream from being eaten sooner- Sapnap can't bring himself to do it though, and doesn't know what to do as he just watches these cats hold his friend with claws and toss him around-

Of course they'd all figure out what was going on by the end and spare Dream- but it was still terrifying for the mouse hybrid to be played with by two big cats as if he were nothing

too much angst in the hybrid!au, operation fluff is a go

grooming!! once dream is a little more comfortable with them, sapnap with his tail wrapped around the 3 other hybrids, and dream cuddled up to one of the cats, one of them subconsciously starts licking him. dream freezes and starts panicking a little, since being near that mouth is the source of many of his nightmares, but the licking is extremely gentle, the cat hybrid pulling him further against themselves, snuggling him and purring, all the while they're gently grooming him. dream falls asleep to the warmth and relaxing purring. soon enough grooming becomes the norm for the hybrids

Originally once Dream started living with the others, they had to make sure he had access to a small bathing area since he would refuse to be groomed (well- actually they were scared to ask if he would be okay with it and so far Dream had barely been able to clean himself well-

Until that fateful day when one of the cats forgot about Dream's fear and subconsciously started grooming him like a little kitten- after that, Dream prefers to let himself be licked rather then try to use the tiny bath- plus, it's just really comforting and nice to be groomed by them

(Hybrid AU) When would they stop the act? Would Sapnap intervene at some point? I'd think Dream's trust towards then would falter after that encounter

(Really liking this AU 👀👀 So many angst possibilities 👀👀👀)

They would stop when Dream starts crying- he was trying to keep up a mask of not being scared the entire time they did that, but as soon as they act like their done and start holding him up to eat him (obviously they wouldn't actually do this, who ever is holding him a over their mouth had planned to miss the drop so that he could land on the grass and run- but Dream didn't know that-) Dream just being held in mid air stuck staring down at a gaping mae filled with fangs- he broke. He began crying and begging them to not hurt him and finally all three of them realize how much they've fucked up-

George, Sapnap, and Ant all prepare to fight each other so the others won't hurt Dream- and then they realize that they've all befriended the mouse without the others knowing

After that scare, they all decide to not threaten Dream's life again, even as a joke. Even so, Dream is still internally terrified, and is second guessing them often- flinching at little movements and hesitating to let any of them hold him. (He may even still have nightmares about it, which waking up cuddling with the preditors doesn't exactly help with-)

ooooo for the hybrid au- you mentioned them all bonding with dream on separate occasions one on one, it must've been especially terrifying for him when they "played" with him because he had started to think of them as friends, and to have them toy around with him, argue about who gets which piece of him- he'd probably start to think that all the time the time they spent together was all a lie, and he's too scared to call sap for help because what if he was lying too?? did they ever see him as more than just a snack? was a he a fool to think of these giant predators as friends?

Yep!

He had grown attached to each of them on separate occasions and had stopped fearing them. It's one of the reasons he was finally caught- he'd stopped caring about getting away, and just started veiwing it as having fun with friends (they did too- but he's questioning it) and ended up slipping up, practically letting himself be caught because he expected them to just laugh it off and to let him go-

Now he's being pressed down by claws, tossed around, grinned at with sharp fangs, and talked about as if he's not even a person that's there- it's terrifying, and now that they have him, he has no way of escaping.

Hi I was just had the idea of what is a shrike was in the area in the hybrid au and Sapnap, George, and Ant are just so worried about Dream getting caught by it that they actively are trying to catch it and when they do Dream sees them kill it and that freaks him out

(had to look up what a shrike is-)

Yess-

They start to notice dead mice and other small mammels littered around and eventually hear rumor of there being a shrike. They practically force Dream to stay home for his safety as they go out to hunt it... But Dream doesn't listen and follows them in secret

He quickly regrets it

He watches as they hunt down the shrike and not only kill it, but the cats convince Sapnap to let them play with it some- it's terrifying to watch as they throw the animal around, breaking it's bones and drawing out so much blood- Dream almost throws upa s they bite it in half to eat

Later when they see Dream again he's fidgety and constantly flinching away from them- once he explains they're all horrified with themselves for doing that in front of Dream... Then later disgusted with themselves as they realized that they used to want to do that to Dream, but they'd never tell him that, and they would never do it to him now

(hybrid au) sap falling asleep with his tail wrapped around dream making him practically invisible to anyone other than him, purring at the feeling of his small friend being safe and sound with him, when george and ant take this opportunity to try and "save" dream from sap, but it backfires when it turns out dream is actually safe and horrified of them, the fear further amplified by the fact that they're trying to attack the only person he believes is trying to keep him safe, and a very pissed off naga almost twice the size of the cat hybrids and definitely not a good combination-

Oh yeah-

Sapnap is definitely pissed- he automatically scoops Dream up to protect the terrified tiny as he glares down at the cats to question them-

Eventually everything is cleared up and Dream is relieved to know that none of them plan to eat him anytime soon- but it's going to take a while to get used to all these huge preditor friends of his being around him-

(Hybrid au) (Manhunt crew) (Fluff) Ant knows he’s got Dream’s trust back when Dream sleeps on Ant’s fluffy fur. George knows he’s god Dream’s trust back when Dream doesn’t flinch from his teeth (I like to think George was really close to nomming Dream during the brawl.) Sapnap knows he’s got Dream’s trust back when Dream sunbathes with him. (I think it’s a thing that nagas sunbath to digest food faster? So maybe this works?)

Yeeesssss-

Dream would almost always sleep separate from any of the preds (or with just Sapnap) for a while, until he finally took a nap in Ant's fur

And yeah- George was the closest to eating Dream when "the incident" happened, which is why most of Dream's dreams are about George actually finishing him- so when the day comes that George smiles I front of Dream and forgets to cover his mouth, he's happy to notice Dream didn't flinch or even react to his fangs being shown-

Nagas do sunbath for more energy (which goes with the digestion thing-) since it takes alot of energy to do most things- so one day when Sapnap is sunbathing and he feels the little pip paps of tiny feet climbing up him, and Dream laying down on his scales- he can't help but to smile
