Bendy was born to a cat and a demon (hence "catdemon" or "cat and demon hybrid") along with two brothers and two sisters. He was the smallest of the kittens, so his father threw him out into a river, claiming "a small son is a weak son" as poor Bendjamin tried to keep his head above water. Eventually, he was rescued by some very sweet humans, who raised him and took care of him. They became his humans, but he soon got too big for them, which led to Henry and Joey bringing him home. -M.B.
I must admit, we all as admins have different ways of telling how Bendy came to life, like Bendy was a human before he died, Joey tried many summonings before getting the Bendy we know today, Bendy was born from the ashes of purgatory of suffering souls, etc… but because I love the idea of Joey being like “okay Henry truth is I WAS gonna bring home a new kitten to cheer you up but I sorta brought home a miniature ink demon instead BUT LOOK HOW CUTE HE IS <3″
The original caretakers were a sweet elderly couple, and plus were getting too frail and sickly to handle a strange creature that was more so child than a pet. So the owners put an ad in the newspaper, and this was right after Henry had his childhood cat “Georgie” I mentioned in the last ask, put to sleep and cremated. Henry was heartbroken, as was Joey. But Joey wanted to bring home a new cat for their apartment above the studio they moved into after graduating college together. But Joey wanted personality, a playful one to bring them both out of such a time of grief. Than he found a cat named “Ben”, whom despite the owners claiming he was a special breed, Joey knew a hybrid demon when he saw one. It had no fur, just… rubbery-like goop that felt like holding silly putty if he liked you. Joey knew THIS was the one. Joey took off his own bowtie and put it on the Maine coon sized demon kitten. Bendy was purring all the way home in Joey’s arms. -Admin Lei
