Day 5: Chat Being a Cat
The two stared at each other. Marinette’s expression slowly shifted from shock to annoyance.
“I’m gonna buy a spray bottle.”
That made Chat freeze before hissing.
“Don’t you dare.”
“Then stop doing this.” The bluenette said as she waved at the scene in front of her.
‘This’ was referring to Chat Noir who, for the third time this month, got himself tangled in Marinette’s yarn stash.
“I can’t help it. You should put it away when I visit.”
“It is away. You’re the one who opens the lid and dumps it out.”
Chat looked off to the side where the container lid laid. Yeah, to be fair after the second time Marinette did transfer her yarn into a lidded container, but that didn’t stop him from seeing the colorful ball of yarn and getting that stupid urge to tangle himself in it.
“I blame Plagg. If you’re gonna spray anyone with a spray bottle then do it to him.”
“I don’t see him mixed up in my yarn bin.” She sighed, walking over to try and help get him unstuck.
Luckily the bin he got into had cheaper yarns and the leftovers of previous projects. After the first time when they had to cut up a skein of kinda expensive yarn, Marinette learned to hide her expensive yarn and yarn for commissions. He did buy her some new yarn (and by some I mean two bags full) which was nice.
“Are you sure that cat tendencies is a thing with the miraculous?”
When Marinette had first heard the reasoning behind his urge to play with yarn, she figured that it was some excuse. But she had seen Chat Noir do plenty of cat like things both as Ladybug and herself.
“I’m sure. All miraculous have side effects. That’s what my kwami told me when I asked him.”
Marinette nodded before pausing to think. She had never faced any side effects while wearing the miraculous, and she has had it just as long as Chat Noir has. Tikki hasn’t told her about any side effects, which she would have done if there were any. Not to mention that none of the backup holders have faced any side effects, at least that they have reported.
And now that she thought about it, the last time she had told Tikki how weird it was that Chat acted like a cat, she had smiled and looked away. Almost as if there was something more going on and she knew the truth.
“Chat Noir,” she said as she helped to get him untangled. “Do you think that Plagg is messing with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, he’s in the suit. You’re using his magic. Do you think he could influence you to act like an actual cat?”
He froze again before narrowing his eyes.
“I think I’m gonna have to cut my visit short princess. I need to speak to someone.”
With some help, he was able to slip out of the remaining yarn before dashing back up to her bed loft and to her balcony. Once he was gone, Tikki floated out from her hiding space.
“You shouldn’t have said anything. It’s entertaining.”
Marinette gave Tikki a look before gathering up her knotted yarn.
“Tell that to my craft supplies.”

I never had this thought before writing this but I do feel like Plagg might influence Adrien to act like a cat while transformed. Prompt list is by @marichatmay
Marinette has discovered that Chat Blanc has a butt-button just like kitties do. She intends to take full advantage of it.
Just a silly little comic idea I drew inspired by my husband. He was petting our kitty and he got to the butt-button and Moxxie’s butt shot straight into the air. And of course he says, “what if Chat Blanc...”

Up until now, I forgot how much I loved the cat tendencies Adrien concept. And like, animal tendencies in general for all the miraculous users, but like, I'm biased towards Adrien and Luka because I adore cats and snakes a lot. And even then, I've liked cats longer than I did snakes, so even more bias for Adrien.
Like, okay, Adrien with cat tendencies/traits:
Big cat eyes
Knocking stuff off of tables and countertops
If I fits, I sits
Zoomies
A little blep
Purring, hissing, and/or growling depending on how he's feeling
Sleeping in sunny places
Staring at "nothing"
Bats things around
Will bring you random things
Grooms himself and others
Love bites
Kneading
Laying on top of something important/something that is in use (such as a laptop)
Will use the faucet as a water fountain
Little head bumps
Will chew on random things when he's either bored or anxious
Scratching furniture
There are certain smells he can't stand such as lavender and grapefruit
marinette: adrien, please, i need to make the bed
adrien, curled up in a ball in the center of the mattress: i don’t wanna move
marinette: FINE throws blankets over him
adrien: trapped, flailing h e l p
