The promotional interview for The Life of a Showgirl just keep coming. In predicting Showgirl’s release, of my list of hopes for Taylor appearances was Graham Norton and Zane Lowe (alongside Hot Ones and Vogue Life In Looks - because range). So I’m pleased that Taylor decided to sit down with Zane for one of his famous extended interviews.
Set against a neutral black backdrop from which to pop, Taylor wore a statement new-to-her vintage piece that appears to be circa the 1880s, made from yellow gold and a bobbing golden yellow citrine jewel. Which, if Travis gets his share on “Opalite” I will take personally as this happens to be my birthstone. Hah! She contrasted this, as has been a running theme in the Showgirl era, with far more modern jewelry pieces from New York-based Catbird NYC. Taylor has worn many of their dainty jewels over the years and these two happen to come from The Summer I Turned Pretty collection. When asked whether she is “Team Jeremiah” or “Team Conrad” Taylor went for the neutral middle ground, “I’m team ‘Summer I Turned Pretty’,” she said, explaining how the show has used her music extensively throughout its run.
