Hello Kitty
𓍯𓂃𓏧𓆝 » You happen to be getting off of work late and come across a box on the side of the busy street that nearly got crushed. Inside that box is an adorable black kitten. You take it home. It meows.

The lights of the city blurred as the rain poured down onto the busy streets of Osaka.
Cars and people chatting filled the bustling alleys and short roads. It wasn't uncomfortable to say, but you were used to it.
The job you worked at was a simple one. Working as a cashier at a very popular coffee shop was cool and all, getting free drinks and discounts, all the good stuff.
It was just the customers that really ticked you off. The people that walked past you could see the small scowl on your face and the tremble in your fingers.
One lady kept asking for an iced americano without the espresso. So just an iced water, ma'am?
Then, a man walked in and asked how much a Dark Mocha Chip Chillapucino would cost. You said 900 Yen. The man cursed at you and made a scene while storming out.
The rest you didn't even want to talk about. It would only stress you out more.
Several cars honked as a passing biker knocked over a box. Your eyes immediately snapped over to the box, noticing something fall out from it.
A small white car was just about the run over the black blur in the middle of the street until you rushed over and grabbed the thing, rolled out of the way, and cradled the creature in your arms.
The person in the car flipped the bird at you for getting in their way before speeding off.
However, your attention was locked onto what you came to realize was a kitten in your arms.
Its dark blue eyes looked up at you with an emotion you couldn't put your finger on.
Your whole outfit was completely soaked, but that was the least of your worries. The poor kitten was shaking and shivering in your arms, clawing at your sleeves to try and find warmth.
You decided to take it home with you.
The Start of Something Mew
🐟︎ first things first, a very warm bath
🐟︎ the kitty meowed the whole time, looking like a sea urchin the entire time
🐟︎ his eyes looked sad when you scrubbed the soap into his fur, almost as if he was in pain
🐟︎ definitely checking that later
🐟︎ after all the dirt and grime that came off of him, you drained the dirty water and picked him up with the arm towel you threw in the dryer prior to the bath
🐟︎ his meows quieted down as you dried him off with the warm towel
🐟︎ his eyes hesitantly closed, slowly welcoming the warmth of the fabric
🐟︎ once most of the water was out, you moved onto the blow dryer
🐟︎ he in fact did not like how loud it was
🐟︎ so he scurried away and fell off your bed
🐟︎ you spent a few minutes trying to look for him, only to find him in the very deep corner under your bed
🐟︎ his ears were pressed to his head and curled into himself
🐟︎ you sighed and tried to offer him a treat, but he wouldn't budge
🐟︎ the only way to get him out was to wait and be patient
🐟︎ you laid on your bed and waited, but it took him forever to come out
🐟︎ you ended up falling asleep
🐟︎ once giyuu heard you settle in bed, he finally came out and sniffed the unfamiliar area
🐟︎ it was a clean and cozy home, something he wasn't used to
🐟︎ all he knew was fear and the coldness of people's hearts
Getting Clawser
𖦹 giyuu started getting used to the new environment weeks after you picked him up
𖦹 it did take him a while to warm up to you, but now he would nuzzle his nose against your hands and legs as a small plea for pets
𖦹 he would scurry away on some days
𖦹 he is still warming up to you, but knows that you’re a safe person unlike the family that threw him on the side of the road
𖦹 you notice that he naps a lot
𖦹 so a visit to a the vet it was, and Giyuu was not having a good time there either
𖦹 he thought that the lady’s hands were too rough and kept yanking [gently pulling] him back on the examination table
𖦹 the first thought in his mind was “where is my owner?”
𖦹 his ears flattened on his head as the lady finished the checkup and picked him up to take him back to you
𖦹 when he saw you, his body relaxed as the lady set him down in your lap
𖦹 she told you had there was a minor bump on his head, perhaps causing his persistent naps
𖦹 giyuu curled up in your lap once your hands started petting him
𖦹 once you got home, you immediately set up a warm spot on your bed for giyuu to rest on since warmth was key
𖦹 giyuu was laid out on the bed, watching you set it up
𖦹 the feeling of your hands picking him up startled him before he felt warmth under his paws
𖦹 his ears flattened as he looked up at you a meowed softly
𖦹 when he realized nothing was going to happen; he finally settled in and curled up
𖦹 it was too cute seeing him lay there
𖦹 after a few days, the bump on his head went away and giyuu seemed to be more active
𖦹 and by more active, i mean up and loafing on any surface that the sun touched instead of hiding under the bed to sleep
Giyuu stretched as he yawned and settled on the carpet by the sliding glass door, pulling his paws under him and tail curled around him into the perfect loaf.
The sun caressed his fur so gently.
You watched from your spot on the couch and smiled. Never in a million years would you have thought of bringing a cat home from off the street, but there he was in all his glory.
Giyuu felt a pair of eyes watching him and opened his own eyes to see who it was. It was you.
His mind labeled you as his protector or owner because you provided for him. Giyuu rumbled and got up from his spot on the floor, quietly walking over to you, jumping on the couch, and settling beside you.
He wasn't all over your lap, but you're not complaining. It took ages for him to even want to be in the same room as you, so him lying next to you was a big jump.
You brought a hand down to pet him, and he instantly melted. The warmth combined with pets? Best thing ever.
˗ˏˋPoofˎˊ˗ Food is Missing
You had just gotten cookies from the market downstairs, so why are they gone? You looked everywhere in the apartment for them, nowhere to be found.
The heartbreak you felt was heavy because you spent that last of your paycheck for those cookies. Giyuu happened to walk in the kitchen, meowing and rubbing himself up on your legs. Right, it was dinnertime.
"Damn...now I'll never get to enjoy my cookies." You frowned before getting Giyuu's food ready.
The said cat jumped on the counter, patiently watching you make his food, licking his lips in the process.
Once the bowl was set in front of him, he dug into the food, acting like he hadn't eaten all day.
A small huff left you lips as you smiled before noticing small crumbs in his fur. Hm?
You raised a brow as you petted him to swipe the crumbs off, plucking one off of him and examining the piece.
It looked very similar to the cookies you had bought.
No. Giyuu couldn't have possibly eaten your cookies.
Could he?
⤳ after that incident, you've been keeping an eye on him
⤳ giyuu was all beady eyes during meals
⤳ but when you ate your food, it was ten times worse
⤳ he seemed to linger during your mealtimes
⤳ was his food not enough? goddamn
⤳ cat hair happened to be all over the counter near your snack cabinet
⤳ he liked to sit on there, but this was too much
⤳ your snacks were disappearing left and right
⤳ now you were convinced some kind of intruder or rodent was taking your snacks
⤳ little did you know that giyuu would jump the counters, transform into his human form and gobble your snacks down with a ghost of a smile
What The Hell Are You?
۶ৎ work was making you irritated again
۶ৎ whenever you're agitated or just upset in general, your stomach hurts
۶ৎ boss noticed your pained expression and was nice enough to let you go home early
۶ৎ when you walked into the apartment, something felt off
۶ৎ the air smelled like...fish?
۶ৎ the smell made you gag, but you also had to make sure there were no electrical fires in the home
۶ৎ thankfully, there was none
۶ৎ so where was the smell coming from?
۶ৎ you followed where the smell was strongest and it led you to the kitchen
۶ৎ giyuu was in his human form sitting on the floor eating away at the salmon you were planning to eat for dinner
۶ৎ the both of you froze, eyes blown wide
The quiet hum of the fridge filled the silence as Giyuu and you stared at each other with shock and fear.
You took in his appearance.
Sleek, shiny, soft looking black hair. Pale skin. Shirtless and only wearing a pair of shorts. Lean, but toned body.
His ears immediately flattened on his head and tail curled around his leg, as if that would shield him from being caught.
"...Uhm." He mumbled softly before slowly setting the shredded salmon back on the platter.
You took a step back. Giyuu's heart sank a little, but he expected this reaction.
"What the hell? Who are you?!" you asked as you fell back into a chair at the table while keeping your gaze on him. Giyuu sat up and exhaled softly, rubbing his head, "...I'm the cat you've been taking care of."
"Liar."
"I'm serious."
You took in the small tidbit of information and processed what you were seeing. The cat you had taken in was now human, sitting in front of you gnawing away at what was your dinner.
"...I apologize. I wasn't expecting you to come home early," he mumbled and shifted in his spot, keeping his eyes on you, and waited for what you had to say.
"...so you're a cat that can turn into a human?"
"Yes. My kind is rare around here...so I guess you got...lucky? Unlucky."
You relaxed in the chair before taking in his whole presence. The way his arms flexed slightly with each movement as he balled up the salmon in the paper, how his hair framed his face nicely, the faint happy trail-
No. Don't go there.
A sigh left your lips as you moved to sit on the floor, knowing how pets felt about being hovered over.
"You're seriously the cat I saved from getting ran over? You were so small then..."
Giyuu looked up at you and nodded curtly, "That's correct. There were two other cats with me in that box, but they were taken. I was the only one left."
Your heart sank a little as you took in his words. Poor thing.
"How long were you alone for?"
"About four weeks. I just watched people walk by me all day. I would try to leave the box, but the man who rolled those long things on a hot thing kept me in the box. Maybe he did it to keep me from getting ran over or stomped on."
Giyuu's ear flicked as he thought about the weeks he went through alone. He was deeply grateful for the man who fed him small hotdog pieces from time to time. They were really salty, but food was food.
"...I can leave. I know I must've frightened you with my presence now that you know what I truly am."
Your body reacted faster than your mind could process, shaking your head just as he finished his sentence, "No."
"No?"
"Yeah, you don't need to leave."
Giyuu's heart skipped a beat as he took in your words.
"But I am going to lay down some boundaries if you're going to live here with me, okay?"
He nodded and held the wrapped salmon in his lap.
"The only thing really is don't snoop around. That's all I really care about. Oh, and lying. I don't like liars."
Giyuu nodded as one of his ears perked up, "Okay, I understand."
"Good. Then welcome home...uhm."
"Giyuu."
"Right. Welcome home, Giyuu."
﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏
Once both of you had established that, everything was a breeze...maybe?
He was still warming up to you in his human form, but his cat form was more comfortable rubbing up against your legs.
You also warmed up to his human form quite quickly. Perhaps due to the fact that you've been living along in your apartment for a while now.
Now that Giyuu knows that he's welcome in your home, he gets comfortable. He still forgets that he can't take naps on the table or counter.
He tried and immediately rolled off. He still loves to sunbathe by the sliding doors, so you'll see him there under the sun most of the time.
Now that he's able to morph into a human with you around, he shamelessly eats your snacks in front of you.
"So it was you this whole time?!" "I thought it was quite obvious that it was me the whole time." He said as he chomped on a new box of flavored crackers you had just bought hours ago.
So now you have to get two of every snack you by at the store because then he'll eat the one box or bag you buy.
Giyuu is happy with the snacks you bring. It's way better than the soggy hotdogs he was fed.
He still occasionally eats cat food, but something about human food makes his craving growl. It's definitely the MSG and added sugars.
The longer he was around you, the more comfortable he got, and we're talking rubbing up against you kind of comfortable.
Yes, there wasn't as much hair to deal with, but it was how warm he was all the time. Sometimes, it was just too much.
Oh yeah, and you managed to find him a loose shirt to wear to have him avoid getting carpet burn when he would constantly shift on the carpet when sunbathing.
It looked quite odd seeing him sunbathe as a human, but cats will be cats.
Whenever bedtime rolls around, he would ask to sleep next to you instead of being at the foot of the bed with a straight face.
"Is this alright?" Giyuu asked as his legs and tail were tangled with yours under the duvet. "Giyuu, what the hell? I can barely move." "Isn't that the whole point? To not move while you sleep? You're quite an odd human." "Oh my god, Giyuu. Get out." "No, I don't want to get kicked off the bed. Again."
He purrs in his sleep, even when you're not petting him to bed.
It's quite adorable. Seeing the small fangs peek out from under his lip while a low purr rumbles from his chest.
His tail usually is curled around something near him to keep him grounded as he sleeps. Whether that be a stray pillow, your leg, your arm, your waist, or his own leg.
For the girls, when you get your period, he's clueless. Sorry.
All he knows is that you're in pain and constantly craving the most atrocious foods, for a cat that is.
The most he can do is make tea for you, rub your lower back, and just awkwardly hold you until he slowly settles in.
As a cat though? He's curled up on your lower abdomen, making biscuits and purring loudly to try and calm you down.
With every wince that comes out of you, his ears would droop, feeling like he's done something wrong and hurt you in the process of his biscuit making.
Although he doesn't talk much, his actions express what he can't say.
Washed dishes, clean table, clean couch, clean anything really. No cat hair in sight.
Speaking of hair, he absolutely melts when you rub or scratch his head. Especially when you scratch behind his ears or near the nape of his neck. It's lights out in seconds. Such a heavy, but soft kitty. Awh.
Giyuu gets nervous when you try to touch his tail since it's the most sensitive part of him. He had mentioned before that he would prefer you not to touch his tail unless you ask nicely.
He enjoys grooming himself as a cat, but when he doesn't feel like putting the energy into morphing back, he'll just have you groom his hair for him.
You call him Kitty sometimes because it just slips out. Giyuu doesn't mind it much since that's what he technically is.
In return, he'll call you Human.
In the final run, he is comfortable living with you, and is forever grateful that you saved him from losing a precious life that he could've missed out on.
He is forever in debt to you.
a/n: i was thinking of doing a nsfw part, but i wasn't sure. if any of you want more catboy giyuu let me know!!
