Wonka x Reader’s Daughter Getting Prepared for the Factory + Dating Charlie
If she showed interest, he’d have her come up with recipes and try the newest concoctions whenever she wanted. That’s where the process would start - creation.
If she didn’t want to make sweets, he’d show her that artwork is part of the process as well to see if that sparked any interest. He’d want to explore every avenue of the process to see if any of it interested her.
As much as he’d want her to learn how things in the factory work, he also wouldn’t want her to touch anything. The older she gets, the less he’d care.
Ideally, the “boring parts” would start when she was a late teenager for him. She’s old enough to drive, she can probably handle learning how the machines work.
The tour contest would be added into the mix mostly if she had no interest in taking over the factory. (Not without a fair amount of complaining from Wonka.)
He’d have zero chill about her changing her mind once the Bucket’s have already moved in. He’ll just need some talking to about being childish.
Once your daughter and Charlie started dating, Wonka would be unsure how to feel about it. It’d be beneficial if the kids stayed together, since then less people would find out about family secrets if they later had other spouses. On the other hand, if they worked together and remained together, how would that affect the business? (Just tell him he’s overthinking here.)
After his tantrums were over, Wonka would get back on track with showing your daughter and Charlie what it takes to run the factory, regardless of how their relationship continues or ends, or which of them want to do what. As long as they both know what to do, he’d be content.
Similarly, Willy would start the process with creation. It wouldn’t be as directed, and mostly just because he’d find it fun to help her make new treats. Training in disguise.
She’d have pretty much free reign when it came to creations. Anything is possible, no matter how gross it sounds.
He wouldn’t be as concerned with her knowing the workings of the factory itself since the Oompa Loompas are there. They know what they’re doing (probably even more than he does.) But she’d know the layout of the factory really well. Hide and seek champ.
He’s not super concerned with safety, so it’d be best if you were around to make sure no one got hurt.
The idea for the factory tour would be spurred after discussing the future of the factory with you. Of course he’d want your daughter to take the reigns, but after having you there he’d realize it’s much easier to handle things with more people. Not many more, but a few.
Your daughter would join in on the theatrics of the whole thing for fun. Also, if she’s supposed to work with one of those people in the future, she wants to feel them out herself. (”Where did she learn that?” “TV?”)
Wonka would be pleased but a little confused if your daughter and Charlie started to date. He was thinking of it as a big family, but obviously it was a little different.
He could never truly retire, even when your daughter was an adult. He’d still be there, making new candies and coming up with new ways to spin the classics.
