I was tagged by @catchingbigfish to do a writers bingo based on a WIP. Considering the only WIP I have is The Sepulcher, that is what I based mine off of. (Side note—I’m almost done with my first draft!! I just have the epilogue to write!)

Rules: fill out the bingo card according to your WIP then create your own for the next person to fill out. If I counted "a transatlantic ship journey" as "road trip", I could have BINGOed. Ah, well!

Rainbow - What do you think makes your story unique / stand out?

I'll answer for pretty much all my stories at once. I think it's because I make things super dark in terms of the world and context of each story, but I usually deliver it with some form of knowing humour? Like there's always at least one joke in there. They're also all about the power of ordinary folks despite overarching power structures that are vying to make the population subordinate to their rule(s), which is a nice change from the sort of fantasy story that revolves around nobility and its whims.

Eclipse - What's the most common / reoccurring theme of your WIP(s)?

The above is one, about focusing the stories on ordinary people. Found family also comes up a lot, as well as trauma and the individual's reaction to it.
