Anyways, a few days late but here nevertheless -- to finish off the Based Off Bonanza, I present to you three fics based on plays. These stories are incredible and sweet and funny and creative and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

When Louis’ best friends pass away he finds himself with an instant family. Maddie and Thomas are wonderful children but take an immediate dislike to every nanny that sets foot inside their house. After nanny number six is summarily dismissed Louis is at his wit’s end, that is until an unusual man arrives on their doorstep. Harry Styles is like nothing any of them have ever encountered before, and perhaps, exactly what they’ve been looking for all along.
Reccer says: Inspired by Mary Poppins, this fic holds a special place in my heart. Funny, beautifully written, super sexy, wonderful love story. Ohana. Great read!
Ain't We Proud by Anonymous (20330, Teen, Harry Styles/Louis Tomlinson) – fic post Warnings: The aftereffects of war are a significant impact on this story, including disability, PTSD, and death/grief
After the end of WW2, a group of war vets forms a swing band in hopes of winning a radio competition. Together, they grieve what the war took from them and start finding ways to heal -- and also fight society.
Reccer says: This fic does an amazing job of incorporating the songs from the musical, I would almost forget they were coming sometimes. I also love the adjustments they brought to the story to fit it to these characters but still feel so true to the source musical.
soltanto io, soltanto tu by dehydratedpool (35592, Mature, Harry Styles/Louis Tomlinson) Warnings: Some violence and a faked suicide (as per the play) but to my recollection no actual deaths.
Romeo and Juliet AU (but without all the death).
Reccer says: The writing in script format is a really interesting touch, it really adds to the Shakespearean ambience -- and the modernized language is so well done and humorous, such a neat contrast.
