But while the rest of the dessert world gushes over tricked-out cupcakes and brownies, dreaming perhaps to win awards for Best Gimmick or Best Use of Gummi bears, Erica Leahy bravely promotes the classics, the pastry vs. the sweet, the homemade tart vs. the cake pop. It’s a philosophy that’s practically radical.
