Cantongnake.
Sometimes there’s no need for a kiss, sometimes a simple gesture o a few words can be more than enough.
I totally reocmend this movie, it’s so anti western. It tells sucha beautiful and yet tragic story about the last days of sitting bull and how he became very intimate with catherine weldon. It tells tbe story of a man who decided to fight once more till the end and a woman who tried as hard as she coukd to fight for her ideals.
I fond the film so poetic and revindictative.
One of my favs.

Defy your time.
Catherine Weldon, a portrait painter from 1890s Brooklyn, travels to Dakota to paint a portrait of Sitting Bull and becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples' struggle over the rights to their land.
A portrait of Sitting Bull, by Caroline (Catherine) Weldon “Weldon was one of the only white people of her time of either gender who not only had the right political view of Native American rights, but also gave her life to work for those rights,” says Eileen Pollack, author of Woman Walking Ahead: In Search of Catherine Weldon and Sitting Bull. A magnificent story with an inescapable (sad) ending / Establishes in a non too subtle way the parallel between the patriarchal oppressive use of power in gender relationships and with regard to minorities The lead roles are not marked sufficiently to fill the scope of their personage
Cast: Jessica Chastain, Michael Greyeyes, Sam Rockwell, Ciarán Hinds, Chaske Spencer,…
