What is NaNoFriMo?

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, which is in November - people from all over the world sign up for the challenge of writing a 50,000 word novel in the month of November! 

Camp NaNoWriMo is sort of the same idea, but more free-form and less strict; it can be any writing project, not necessarily a novel, and your goal can be anything, not necessarily 50,000 words! There are several throughout the rest of the year, this one starts in July.

I’ve won NaNo itself twice now, but I’m thinking of doing this in July to get the bulk of my AU finished and ready for editing :)

What are you studdying? It sound amazing (though I get that some of it might be anyoing, mine can be too, no matter how much I like it!)

Here in Ottawa, I'm taking English lit classes (Fiction of Horror, Modern British Lit, Utopian Fiction, and Science Fiction), since the semester abroad is a fixed part of my English degree; at my home university, my BA degree is made up of a major in English-Speaking Cultures (incl. lit, linguistics, and cultural studies) and a minor in Cultural Studies proper (incl. media and communication studies, anthropology, and cultural theory).
