A friend for dinner - closed thread for Lady Xerra with Lady Sally and Loke

Finally the weekend starts and I am all excited. After a long time my right hand wilst meet me again for a peaceful dinner. Nothing special, not for a birthday or another celebration, but for sitting together as friends. I am thrilled that my wifie wilst meet her though and I look that both woman wilst have it comfortable. With help of my magic I conjure a warm place in the garden, shielding the cold away from the dinner table. Fresh salats, dryed vegetables and marinated, grilled wild meat wilst still our hunger, as also asgardian wine wilst give it company.

Setting the table I hum an old tune I had learned in my childhood and wonder when Lady Xerra wilst arrived.

♦ What’s an AU that you’ve always wanted?

So as a refresher for myself, I’ve done a couple Harry Potter AU threads and would like to do more (in fact I wrote a couple drabbles for myself recently, just little snippets, to get it off my chest), I’ve done a fairytale/fantasy AU thread (and I’m ALWAYS game for fairytales), I’ve written a Hunger Games AU drabble for Ang (and that was good enough for me), I have some Viking AU (I never knew I needed them but OMG do I need them) threads for Ang, and I’ve started a couple Star Wars AU threads for Ang (again, my body is always ready for Star Wars).

Are there any that I really, really want that I haven’t already written? Well, off the top of my head, I like high school AUs, and the obligatory coffee shop AUs, and sometime I think it would be fun to write an all human AU in general. As stated above, I’d really like to do more Harry Potter AUs because the Harry Potter fandom was my first true love. That’s about all I can think of right now, though.

Tricky, tricky question! The short answer is no, but yes.

No- I feel like this question is kind of geared towards preset characters. I don’t really want to write preset characters from different media (i.e., Loki from the MCU, Hermione from the Harry Potter books, etc) because there’s the pressure to write them in character, the competition for writing partners (and consequently feeling bad if someone says “you’re my favorite _!” or “I don’t like the way you write _.”), etc. I might sometimes write little bits of fan fiction of my favorite fandoms, but I don’t want to write one particular character long term.

Yes- I have lots of other muses that I haven’t really done anything with yet that I’d like to use more often. I keep meaning to write drabbles to do something with all these feels, but I also keep forgetting.

(pt 2) I was going through a similar thing today and thought I wouldn't do it. But I started doing it anyway, failed kiserably a few times (well I didnt count) and was persistant in doing it again until I managed it. One thing I refused to think of in the process was 'making mistakes' as it would hinder it all!
