had a thought. there's probably nothing, but i was wondering if there is any footage of catharine lorre (i know there is that one photo where she's... writing on smth? w/forrest j ackerman? an event of some kind. is there footag from that?). i wonder what her voice sounded like, since peter had a very distinctive voice, and her mother annemarie was german, so she might have picked up a bit of an accent from them?

I don't know much about Catharine, but I recalled seeing the photo(s) you're talking about! I just posted a note to the person who had them to see if there is any video or even audio footage.

Just thinking of Peter Lorre and his (last) family

It's Thanksgiving Day here (Nov 27, 2025), and I know Peter embraced America in many ways from the moment he came over. Perhaps this was one of the customs he adopted and would celebrate with his family! Even if not, have some Peter & Cathy Lorre:

The tenderness and joy on his face...I'm glad they had some good years together, however few.
